>Introduce snake guard that goes nowhere >Drop massive hints the new drama club idol is a cross dresser or trasngender that goes nowhere -Drop new neighbour on Legosi for drama that goes nowhere -Melon in general -Granpda was a gangster, but forget that -GUNS NEED TWO SHOTS TO KILL HYBRIDS, SHUT UP THO but goes nowhere -Fucking BEASTARS as a concept goes nowhere -Haru is barely in the second half -Wolf girl was pointless -Ends in a fucking one fight tournament arc
So did the writer run out of steam or what? it seemed to sell to well to be shit canned but it sure reads like it was.
Anyone who didn't drop this manga at the lion yakuza arc is a retard with no taste and has only himself to blame for being disappointed now. That arc already explicitly showed that the author has no fucking clue wtf is she writing. Bad writing isn't some abstract criticism, this is what it means - that in the end, all the retards who were invested into the story would look back and realize it was a pointless fucking waste of time.
Samuel Watson
I picked it up just before the Melon arc during a drought of regular ongoings. Its amazing how badly it drops the ball.
Leo Sanchez
For me, animal stands were a tipping point, regarded giant whale, the whole character of melon(including his nightly transformation from twink to chad). It's clear that mangaka didn't know in which direction to take the story after catching killer arc, million dropped plot-threads and characters, many dead-ends. It's for the better manga finished now than later.
>Oh this anime is about the aggression of man and sexual impulse >Cool
>Err actually it's about being a lolikon >Uhh..
>Actually it's about this gay deer and wolf >Right..
>Really it's about-
Make it stop
Nicholas James
it ends with them on the sidewalk saying 'lets get married' and thats it.
Carson Johnson
It's painfully clear that the Melon arc was just Paru making shit up as she went. Remember the furry stands? The quiz show? Melon having two lives for some reason? Kyuu? The whales? Neither does she.
Jason Mitchell
You haven't even named half the nonsense that happened. But really now, how could anyone mess up this amazing premise and amazing first chapters/arcs? This could have become an all time classic, but instead it became a clusterfuck.
Asher Nguyen
...so all the way from the end of the festival and the visit to the black market... to that?
Ayden Butler
haru has literally been in like 3 chapters in the last 5 volumes, they introduced this half breed serial killer who became the entire focus and when he is wrapped up, badly, the series just ends.
Jeremiah Scott
If only Zootopia 2 was released maybe the mangaka could have stolen fresh ideas
Dominic Evans
Maybe I am an idiot for not knowing it was a shonen but the fucking poiint of watching the series and then the manga was because I wanted to see how they would end up... fuck.
Nathaniel James
Did you really expect an unironic slutty whore bunny and an aspie simp wolf to have an normal ending?
Jack Parker
if you didn't drop beastars post riz it's your fault
Isaiah Jones
I expected them to HAVE an ending that doesn't consist of just a few lines in a single page, maybe I am too used to see actual epilogues in other stories.
Leo Ward
story gets edgy when Paru has her period
Aaron Martinez
Remember the guy that was introduced with Kyuu?
Alexander Hall
THERE WAS ANOTHER GUT?!?
Angel Sanchez
Yes! He was Louis pal! But because he wasn't trying to fuck Legosi there was no point to him.
Nolan Torres
All she had to do was focus on the eugenic program that created dogs specifically to fulfill certain roles. That sounded cool, could work well against Melon being a love child between two incompatible species. But that cool ass plotpoint, that would only really work well in this exact setting, went absolutely fucking nowhere.
Charles Mitchell
>animal stands were a tipping point The dumbest part of animal stands wasn't that it happened, it's that they were never brought up again.
Beaststars is a series where an author wants to just throw lore at you, but doesn't really have a plot to connect them all. It may as well be a documentary series about life in this animal world for how unconnected plot points are and with how some characters are introduced only to never appear again.
Alexander Hernandez
Yeah, San the Alpaca. He does literally nothing, and disappears as soon as Kyuu starts training Legosi even though he would be the one character it would make perfect sense to still be there in those scenes.
Honestly i wish it would have just ended with the capture of the killer in the school. Then do it like jojo, where they start over with new characters in the same universe. That way she could have more stories/ideas and starting fresh without trying to make up a ham fisted story with existing characters/developments in such a way.
Julian Thompson
I FORGOT TITTY RABBIT EVEN EXISTED, WHERE DID THEY EVEN GO?!?
Jaxson Martinez
the abyss
Matthew Anderson
>This could have become an all time classic It already is and wait for the sequel
Luke Edwards
The melon arc was all over the place and made 0 sense. Truly a shame because the series had a lot of potential.
Bentley Davis
False. The good outweighed the bad until the end of the Riz fight. Then the quality stagnated while Legosi was settling down. And it falls off a cliff the instant Melon appears on page.
IE: Beastars is great, with some stupid moments, up to about chapter ~ 120. At which point it is for masochists only.
this shit ends and all we have are speedrunners complaining with recycled arguments we see every thread, as much as i hate beastars it's annoying stop making this threads, they are literal shit, no one participates because it's the same arguments over and over again even i who never read this remember more people and characters than you do, it's retarded even in beastars levels "i don't remember this character because and i speedread and this is bad writing"
beastars is shit but this tread is worse
Jaxson Nguyen
kek
Lucas Morris
So you want Beastar to be forgotten forever..?
Brody Thompson
Most would argue that from Melon’s appearance and beyond, the story began to decline.
