Post-S1 Symphogear is hot garbage
You can't refute this

S2 was still good, S3 is where everything went to shit.

Based OP

Balit

S1 isnt that special either. Symphogear is a meme.

This. Symphogear is only liked by Yurifags too contrarian for Madoka or Nanoha

Symphogear isn't anything like Madoka in the slightest and its similarities to Nanoha are superficial.
Symphogear is GaoGaiGar meets Sailor Moon.
Or G Gundam meets genderbent Saint Seiya.

>too contrarian
There's a huge overlap between the Symphogear fanbase and Nanoha fanbase though?

I mostly have no idea what happened during all 5 seasons. The point is that it was fun.

1 is the best. Post 3 is unwatchable.
After one they started to cash in too hard on cute and abandon edgy. After three they full embraced the fandom and went all in on dyke shit and rehashed plots because they knew their fans were too retarded to care.

I don't like yuri at all and I think Sympho is lots of fun. It wasn't even Yuri until later seasons - then they went full retard and twisted what was initially close technically ambigious relationships into retardation.
There was no yuri at all in season one unless you count Chris getting groomed by Fine

Reverse for me. Symphogear lost a lot of its charm because the later seasons were less cute than the first seasons.
S1 and S2 had plenty of random SoL bits to characterize the cast, but these quickly fade away in the later seasons to make more room for action and battles and a story that never calms down.
S1 and S2 felt like a nice homage to toku while S3, S4 and S5 felt like a flanderized parody of itself that threw any sense of writing out the window just to be as hotblooded as possible

Yes I can, and I have one simple argument that proves me right:
1. I'm not a Zig Forumstard.

Well cute and SoL aren't synonymous. You can be cute without being SoL and SoL without being cute. I agree with you though in that they threw out even trying to make a story.
They clogged their cast up and fucked all the dynamics with Maria just destroying EVERYTHING. SoL and character interaction takes more effort than brainless sreeching and fights so it disappeared.

>while S3, S4 and S5 felt like a flanderized parody of itself that threw any sense of writing out the window just to be as hotblooded as possible
Wouldn't have it any other way.

And here we see
>After three they full embraced the fandom and went all in on dyke shit and rehashed plots because they knew their fans were too retarded to care

>and went all in on dyke shit
Symphogear isn't remotely vaguely yuri outside of its first season and final episode.

That's just not true. The B-team is exclusively comprised of gay girls. Sword's entire character becomes singing and Maria and surely I don't have to justify Dess.
You could deny the writing and the wall for Hibiki until the final season.
In the end only Chris came out unscathed which is ironic given her origin.

What other implied yuri is there in the show beyond
>Fine molests Chris (S1)
>Miku's hidden feelings for Hibiki (most blatant in S1 and S5)
>Tsubasa and Maria's symbolic Chinese wedding (S5)
>Hibiki realizing she feels the same way about Miku (S5)
S2, S3, and S4 are almost entirely devoid of yuri unless you count Kirika and Shirabe.

But regardless, yuri isn't and was never the main focust of Symphogear, it's just an added cherry on top in the final season after being teased in the first season.
Even the yuri undertones in the rest of the show are extremely minimal compared to a lot of mahou shoujo in the same subgenre.
The appeal is watching cute girls fight against sci-fi stuff judeo-christian gnostic mythos, not watching cute girls screw eachother.

Not that I hate yuri, mind you, I just hate the people who misrepresent it and treat it like a yuri series. Probably why I can't stand Symphogear threads in-between seasons or after the series was over.

To add to this, there's more blatant yuri in fucking Sailor Moon and CCS but nobody calls those yuri series either.

>S2, S3, and S4 are almost entirely devoid of yuri unless you count [yuri]
>But regardless, yuri isn't and was never the main focust of Symphogear, [except the final season which revolves entirely around it]

I don't hate yuri either but I don't like it. The show objectively pivoted to it hard in later seasons. You're blind. Rather than abstracting it to relationships abstract it to screen time. How many frames must there be of Sword Trashria relationship friction?
S1 had Miku being a little weirdo and Fine being a villain and that was all. The rest of the season apart from like 3 scenes in total was battle or SoL

Symphogear has always been a fun trainwreck

>The show objectively pivoted to it hard in later seasons
>later seasons
>seasons
>s
Final season*
Symphogear is barely /u/ outside of its first and final season, unless you're one of those people who thinks that every character interaction between people of the same sex must have romantic undertones.
Symphogear isn't a yuri series and there's far more modern mahou shoujo series that are more blatantly in your face about yuri and shove it in your face every episode.
The yuri in Symphogear was mainly last season fanservice/a cherry on top that confirms up Miku and Hibiki's feelings for eachother that we've known since season 1. And the most Tsubasa and Maria even got was symbolic wedding symbolism.

Calling Symphogear a yuri series is like calling Samurai Flamenco a yaoi series.

It was already pivoting in season 3 you complete lout

Season 3 and 4 are more devoid of yuri undertones than Season 1.

>Samurai Flamenco a yaoi series
Fuck SamFlam was a ride.

i don't have to, i still enjoyed whole thing

I don't mind yuri but I don't understand how treat yuri like a major selling point for this show when it's only in 3-5 episodes

Attached: 1565480428884.gif (1160x714, 2.67M)

how people* treat

I like all three a lot. All three do their own thing the only people who get mad at Symphogear are the ones who expect it to take itself overly seriously. Its like me watching Madoka after Symphogear then complaining theres no stupid bullshit. Each is its own thing and shouldn't be linearly judged if you think they can be just because they are all magical girl shows you're a dunce.
