Why do people like this filler-ridden adaptation?

Why do people like this filler-ridden adaptation?

because fillers are based

The fillers here are genuinely bad.

Because they watched it first when it was the only adaptation.

They do ?

>filler ridden
Literally the only filler episodes are 3 and possibly 37.
If you're the kind of retard that thinks anything not in the manga is filler, FMA2003 was its own story from the start.

Meant 4 with the Majhal story

Because the manga is garbage

Extremely rude and inaccurate. Take a day off from Zig Forums and think on what you typed.

Silence, fool.

.

because they don't like reading manga

I liked the sense of adventure, thematics and visual direction. Most of the fillers were lame, yeah, but I liked it overall. I don't hate brotherhood, but the direction it took didn't appeal to me.

They think it's better because they don't like the comedy in brotherhoodmanga and think it's plot is more serious and better despite it being dumb, convoluted (yes all those extra elements amount to nothing because they don't develope them) and it never closes some plotpoints

Shit but better than Brotherhood which had a literal evil god-complex villain beaten by the power of friendship at the end.

Dante was such a more interesting villain and Hohenheim's past was also far more interesting.

Because fillers can be good and FMA fillers were good. All in all, there is nothing with having fillers.

I understand that some shounen tropes are bad like in fairy tail but why would you hate shounen stories just because they're shounen?
At least in brotherhood and in the manga, the plot was consistent from start to finish. 03 anime was pretty much all over the place.

I don't care about genre classifications.
I dislike it because I dislike black and white morality and power of friendship endings.

Not to say that either were particularly good.

The expositionary dialog in particular in both was absolutely horrible how these dudes find time to discuss matters for the benefit of the audience mid-battle.

reddit likes brotherhood so Zig Forums has to be contrarian

There's very little to no filler in FMA '03.
I liked it just as much as I did FMAB, but I really thought FMA's handling of Edward's character was a lot deeper.
FMA really had Ed face a lot of tough realities about his world that forced him to reevaluate his morals and worldview as well as his belief in Alchemy, it brought up a lot of interesting ideas throughout its run.

FMAB didn't go that route but I'm still 100% satisfied with how it handled Ed there too.
There's really no need for fans to feel the need to pit one series against the other when both were excellent.
The fact that fans of this franchise got 2 incredibly good 50+ episode anime series is unbelievable.
I only wish I could've said the same for the other anime I was into.

At least post it in higher quality m8.
It's funny you say that because the plot in '03 is easily more consistent than in the manga/Bro. The story in '03 is literally having the brothers looking for the Philosopher's Stone so that they can retrieve their bodies.
In Brotherhood the story is the same as the above but you also have chinks looking for it because of some succession war (which ends up having literally NO repercussions on the main story), a military conspiracy which climaxes with a coup, human experimentees looking to get back what they lost, and some guy trying to stop someone else from becoming God. The original story is a fucking mess and there are WAY TOO MANY characters and plot points for it's own good.
I haven't even gotten started on just how generic it all is. It's like a Marvel movie in that sense; competently made and executed but so bland that you have absolutely no interest in it and are missing nothing by not watching it.

>God Complex Villain
>actually a fragment of god
And this is why Brotherhoods attempts at humanizing the villains were pointless.

Because Greed was so much more badass than his lame portrayal in Brotherhood

holy shit HD kino

Because the direction it took is unironically more interesting than Brotherhood's shonenshit.

All the Homonculi were better in 03 than brotherhood with the exception of Bradley.
I mean Salem was pretty Good but Brotherhood Sloth is fucking shit tier, Lust never gets time to develop, Envy is a whiney faggot and somehow less intimidating.

...

Both are shonenshit.

Why do they insist it's not a kids show is what I wanna know.

I'd say '03 Bradley is better than Brotherhood's solely because he wasn't ruined by that stupid fight at the end of the anime and had a air of menace about him all the way through to the end.

Because by American standards a lot of stuff Japan makes is considered for a mature audience.
Lets say the director decides that some show intended for 9-10 year old boys should have some milf lady with big milkers and a lot of dedicated animation to her breast physics on top of copious amounts of breast humor.
All of sudden, to an American, this isn't fit for 9-10 year old boys and a cult of men aged 18-35 will watch it and insist it was made for them.

You might strip away the tits, make some cultural equivalency conjecture and come to the conclusion that the plot, humor and other factors reveal that the show is intended for a 8-11 demographic, perhaps nearly identical to American equivalents. But the addition of "Sex" and "violence" drastically change the intended audience.

03 Bradley suffers from BH Lust's problem. Too little screen time before death. It's like they swapped character focuses.

At the expense of Lust being fucking pathetic

super heavy occult vibes.

He got enough for what was needed. Some more would've been nice but we got enough to know that he was a scary and ruthless fucker.
The timing of him coming out to be a homonculous also plays into it. In '03 it was 40 episodes in as opposed to Brotherhoods teens(?).
