Bitter Virgin is a short highschool romance shoujo story with a good twist. You'll see it by the first chapter. It gets pretty emotional at one point and it's worth reading for that.

Ai-Ren is probably the most humane manga. A boy is about to die and he's given a biogenetic girl that will take care of him until his death, with the catch being that she will die before him. Even though you can tell how the story will go from the start, it's humane in the sense that they enjoy life together as death slowly creeps up on them each chapter and it's heartwrenching each time.

Moomins is nostalgic fun and comfy when it's not being scary.

Doremi is childlike wonder and fun. The characters are all good and the dynamic is one of the best in anime.

Thinking about starting Kyokō Suiri or Jagaaaaaan tonight but I'm not sure which one to go for first.

I don't recognize many of these, but they look cool. I suppose I'm still fairly new to manga specifically.
1/2 Pluto is on my backlog, but do I need any kind of context on Astro Boy beyond what is common knowledge? I'm not particularly adverse to reading old manga, planning on reading Dororo some time this weekend.

Part of me wants to participate in these threads again, but in the 5 years since I last made a 3x3 I realized that I like almost all the anime I watch, so rating seems kinda pointless unless I want to flex and try to appear sophisticated and of good taste to other posters.

i read Kyoko Suiri the other day, pretty much dropped.
Jagan is better by a lot, the recent arc plot is kinda lit, cause the previous plot is irrelevant boring genderbender shit.
You dont need to read Astro Boy to read Pluto.

? I haven't seen the anime for all of those but between anime and manga those 8 series are all entertaining as hell.

Sorry for the late reply. From anime, I didn't like Harlock (liked the aesthetic and general concept but found it really boring), Gachaman Crowds, and Monster. From anime movies I didn't like Promare and Adolescence of Utena.
