- I think Post-Timeskip One Piece is still as enjoyable as Pre-Timeskip.
- Looking back on the Naruto manga, it's largely better than I expected but it definitely drags at some parts.
- I think it's unfair how JoJo gets a pass for all its bad writing, flat and inconsistent characterization and predictable format, since the set up and pay-offs always feel the same regardless of how creative the situation gets in the meantime other shonen gets shat on by the stuff JoJo does, sometimes worse, just because it was obscure for many years until last decade.
- Isayama is not experienced enough to understand the intricacies of politics, world history, human interaction and various cultures. It takes years of studying and experience before someone can come up with a story like 1984 or Lord of the Rings or even A Song of Ice and Fire. AoT fans have touted him as a genius but a genius doesn't rely on plot twists, flashbacks and plot devices almost every chapter. A genius will use them sparingly and weave it within the story that it is barely noticeable to the reader.
- There's no such thing as "It gets good after X chapters." If a story isn't good from the start it's not a good story.
>I think Post-Timeskip One Piece is still as enjoyable as Pre-Timeskip.
no, just no dunno why. it's worth discussing, but the time i used to eagerly wait for each chapter and worldbuilding reveal, are over.

>I think it's unfair how JoJo gets a pass for all its bad writing, flat and inconsistent characterization jojo is just about the surreal/dadaist fights with weirdass powers you'd never see in another medium

>Isayama is not experienced enough to understand the intricacies of politics, world history, human interaction and various cultures. It takes years of studying and experience before someone can come up with a story like 1984 or Lord of the Rings or even A Song of Ice and Fire. Agreed with this. Isayama created a great setting and promising plot but fell flat due to the usual shonen garbage

>- There's no such thing as "It gets good after X chapters." If a story isn't good from the start it's not a good story. I kind of agree, but some of my favourite series were just alright at the start and slowly developed into something much more, so I wouldn't be so sure about it.
Leo Perez
>Isayama is not experienced enough to understand the intricacies of politics, world history, human interaction and various cultures this is something i agree with. after the reveal of the bigger politics, the manga nosedived for some reason
it was much cooler with a huge mystery around

Do you have any other series that gives you the feeling like the old One Piece? I am asking because maybe it's just that you got older, or other things changed in your life rather than the story.

Haikyuu is legit one of the worst spokon out there
WCI is the best arc in One piece(not sure if this is unpopular)
netflix is saving anime
battle shounen is the best genre in anime if we count the "avarage quality"
Bones is the only good anime studio left right now
all of these are bad/just wrong except the isayama one
Luis Powell
-Ruronie Kenshin is boring as fuck. -The second season of chuunibyo is good(worse than season 1 thou) -Only the second half of the Devilman manga is good.
Brody Scott
Providing funds for the creators. Japan is saturated with studios producing shit by the ton. From the 100 to 1000 manga and anime out there only a dozen are actually good
Ryder Martinez
Bleach was the best when Ichigo was just hunting hollows
Brody Evans
Liked the more personal and small stuff at the beginning also more than the big arcs later.
David Lee
Steins;Gate is not overrated.
Daniel Lewis
Dungeon Meshi doesn't deserve any of its praise.
Xavier James
Also the arifureta anime is so bad it becomes good again.
Jonathan Hughes
Maybe, but they're injecting this Marxist Liberal bullshit into places it doesn't fit. Look at Devilman Crybaby- Japanese schoolgirls don't start humping each other as a joke. There's fucking gay sex scenes, tits bigger than the woman's head, the list goes on and on. youtu.be/zqxe3bHQ3UE

I never cared for One Punch Man or One's art in general
But is that really forced into the anime. Isn't the director are progressive himself?

Zig Forums is still the best media board

Tenki no Ko shits all over Your Name.

>Ruronie Kenshin is boring as fuck. This so much. I dont know why I didnt drop it. I like OVA. I have same feelings about watching GaoGaiGar. This shit was so boring. To be fair with you I didnt watch any Brave series before. Only some Daimos and Voltron when I was a kid but GaoGaiGar definitly should not be recomended to people.
not that I dont agree with your points, but this is the same shit I see contrarians posting in shounen threads all the time. If you really want discussion then youll have to post more than these sweeping generalizations of popular series.
Christian Bailey

>I think it's unfair how JoJo gets a pass for all its bad writing, flat and inconsistent characterization and predictable format I fucking agree with this so much like you wouldn't believe, man.

>unpopular opinions thread >anitwitter-level common takes on popular shonen series what a waste of a thread

Hell yeah. She's got a lot more personality to her. Mitsuha and Taki just kind of felt like BOY LOVE INTEREST and GIRL LOVE INTEREST rather than real people.
Plus she is cuter.
Jacob Collins
K. When the season aired people always told me that I was just a coward and should admit that I like it unironically.
