Have you ever watched a 24+ episode anime in 1 sitting? What show(s)?
I've only done it for Kaiji.
Have you ever watched a 24+ episode anime in 1 sitting? What show(s)?
Never.
Kaiji does actually come close for me though. When I started The Bog, I thought it was going to be like 6 epsiodes or so like the other games were. Was going to finish that arc and then go to bed. Little did I know...
Binge culture is a mental illness. Anime is literally written to be watched with some time in between the episodes.
Pretty often when I was first getting into anime, but not in quite a while.
There's just no way to hit 200+ anime in a reasonable time otherwise, and surely nobody on this board would post before they'd done that much.
>Binge culture is a mental illness.
Binge is the best way of doing everything
I used to be able to when I really got into anime. I could watch 3 one cour anime a day.
I watched 38 episodes of FMA:B in one sitting too.
>and surely nobody on this board would post before they'd done that much.
We are like Zig Forums
please binge some sleeping pills then, and do us all a favor.
I know this feeling. Senior year of high school I'd get home and watch six straight hours of one piece almost every day. How did I do this? I cannot answer.
Go home gramps we are the future
>How did I do this?
Is called having fun
when I was in middle school I watched 24 episodes of bleach in one sitting. I think that's it, because I hate binging
>no way to hit 200+ anime in a reasonable time otherwise
what the fuck are you talking about? I've only watched like 3-4 eps a day max and had a huge gap where I didn't watch anime and have still seen well over 200. any schmuck in like five years can watch 200 anime, and if you're not a newfag you'll have been watching for *at least* 10
You're only supposed to have to lurk for two years, though. If you're watching eps literally every single day, that's 7 a day.
I've watched like half of hikaru no go in one day
You don't seriously think lurking for two years is enough to make you not a newfag, right? After your two years of lurking you become a newfag, before that and you're just a lurker
Sure, but you shouldn't be posting at all before seeing 200 anime, which we equate to a two year lurking period. Bingeing is the only serious option.
No no no, you've got it all backwards. In watching hundreds of anime you come to find out about this place THEN you lurk, then you post. You don't just get to lurk here as someone who's seen 0 anime getting into the hobby, this site is for hikiNEETs who pee in bottles not entry level how do I get into anime fans
I watched about 25 episodes of Hunter x Hunter in one sitting if that counts
I see where you're coming from. I still think it's fairly apparent that some bingeing will be necessary, and that it's not feasible to watch every show "with some time in between the episodes" as was originally proposed.
If you watched an average of 4 episodes a day, you could watch 112 single cour series or 56 double cour series in one year. Now replace some of those with movies or short OVAs and you're already at 200 titles in 2 years while spending less time watching anime than the average person spends watching Netflix or YouTube.
I think the only problem is that approach treats getting hundreds of anime under your belt as a requirement to not being a newfag when it's more like if you look at all the non-newfags they've seen hundreds of anime. the nuance is different - a newfag could watch a thousand anime but if he's doing it for the sake of "not being a newfag anymore" he's really just making himself all that much more of a newfag.
I watched the entirety of Robotics;Notes while riding Amtrak to Vermont. It helped that we spent an hour immobile while they repaired damage to the snowplow from the blizzard we were going through. Peak comfy desu. I miss it.
This
You dont start watching anime to post on Zig Forums jesus christ
I watched SnK season 2 and 3 in 1 day
I've read a number of interviews from creators over the years and not a single one has ever suggested an amount of time to wait between episodes.
Just because the TV stations demand episodes be a week apart, and be a specific length, and have ad breaks, and so on, doesn't mean that's the ideal way an anime is to be watched.
Yeah, I was bored one weekend and watched all of K-ON! and the movie and then GJ-bu! and the movie back to back.
>There's just no way to hit 200+ anime in a reasonable time otherwise
Oh great, it's another fucking MALfag who watches anime without enjoying for no reason other than getting a bigger e-penis on some reddit website.
You are cancer.
>and surely nobody on this board would post before they'd done that much.
Back in the day (2004ish) it use to only be 100. If you're not into anime such that you've already started watching shows before coming here, then yeah, you fucking shouldn't be posting here. This isn't /r/baby'sfirstanime, this is Zig Forums.
I marathoned through all of Samflam while very sick with the flu a while ago. Couldn't sleep at all even after taking some medicine and watched the series with a fever induced high, very strange experience.
Just wanted to say that elitism absolutely works and you're doing god's work, keep it up.
Plenty of shows, I'm pretty sure I've watched all of monogatari in the span of 3 days and that's 100 episodes and 3 movies
boku no pico
evangelion,taihou shichauzo,love hina,negima,and so on.
Elitism didn't do a goddamn thing to save Zig Forums from the hoards of underage gaiatards and shouneniggers
kill yourself newfag
I don't think any underaged people would even know what gaia is.
I watched the first ~90 episodes of Dragon Ball Super in one sitting.
We let the elitism slip for a few years, that was our mistake.
I remember watching all of bakemonogatari one night with my roommate's girlfriend. It's an easy one to binge.
>I don’t agree with X therefore it is a mental illness
You have a mental illness
Letting elitism go (and not the elitism pseud newfags think elitism is) is what contributed to Zig Forums's downfall.
I got through kodomo no omocha in 4 days.
Why were you spending the night with your roommate's girlfriend, and how did you manage to binge bake with them?
Not in one sitting, but Mirai Nikki came close.
She was over for the weekend, I wanted to watch something and everyone but her had gone to bed. So we just watched all of it.
Yes, toradora, utawarerumono and code grads. Then the next day I binged them again. Again on the third day. Yes I have autism.
I watched Princess Tutu in less than 12 hours, so I took a few short breaks.
I watched Ghost in the shell like that, I think. As in all of them, although slept in between episodes at times. Not sure. I drank quite a lot back then and was such a mess I actually managed to see the mechanical elves without drugs once.
I tend to watch CGDCT when I'm sick
You know, I probably shouldn't make dumb assumptions, but my autistic ass would find that way too awkward especially with all the fanservice.
I later watched the boku no pico trilogy with her, so I can't say it was something that concerned me. We ended up being much better friends than I was with the roommate.
The most I watched in one day was the first 19 episodes of ZZ Gundam. It was the most fun I've had watching an anime and the only good Gundam show.
>stopped watching princess tutu after about 15 episodes
>have to start from episode 1 again since I remember nothing about it
Just finished Petite Princess Yucie which also suffered the same fate.
