I remember buying a collected edition of the manga, the whole series in one bound volume, it fit that medium more than the anime one, its harder to translate 4-koma manga humor into animation.

better characters, humor, situations, atmosphere, etc.
And doesn't have any awkward shit like Kimura that completely fucks up the mood.
Azu was good for its time, but has been surpassed in every way. And Nichijou is also pretty timeless so far.
