Just finished watching the first two seasons. So glad to know that third season is coming at some point but I wish it was here already. Such a lovely anime.

I'd fuck her so hard.
Season 3 will introduce the yuri love interest for Myne?
what are plebeian lolis for?
Hugging and headpats.
There's a yuri love interest?
shit anime
Nigga what. Easily the best anime I've watched in years.
>the yuri love interest
What makes you think she's limited to one? Or thay they haven't been introduced yet?
one for each color of the homo rainbow?
BOOKWORM
Still not sure on the whole church direction. Can't see why she didn't just stick with Benno and live a cushy life as his idea-pig while also making paper with Lutz besides LIBRARY. Also the second season has definitely started off less strong than the first, with Myne acting borderline retarded in any situations at the church, especially with the whole starving orphans thing. But it's still the best 'isekai' out there so far.
>Can't see why she didn't just stick with Benno and live a cushy life as his idea-pig while also making paper with Lutz besides LIBRARY.
This is Myne we're talking about, libraries are kind of a big deal for her. Also she would've died pretty quickly due to the devouring.
>Myne acting borderline retarded
Yeah this is how Myne has acted since the very beginning of the story.
>Also she would've died pretty quickly due to the devouring
That's another thing, if the church is desperate for mana what's stopping her just going there to donate mana? Also does Myne ever tell Frieda that instead of being chained to a noble she could just go and donate mana at the church? Or am I not understading something about the devouring?
Her mana is needed for more than just donations. She also needs to participate in various rituals and such. This stuff can be seen later in season 2 and the upcoming season 3. It can also be seen later on that the temple isn't really any better than being chained to a noble would be.
Should I pick up the light novel or wait for season 3?
>what's stopping her just going there to donate mana?
Commoners aren't allowed to just have mana and wander around. As soon as it was known she had mana, she was destined to be captured and controlled by nobles. Myne got extremely lucky that the High Bishop was greedy when she offered a fuckton of money, and that she had enough mana to actually kill him outright by Crushing and that her father was strong enough to hold off gray robe priest wussies in a fight. Also that Ferdinand was there, recognized her raw potential, and was willing to make a deal.
If all those things hadn't happened, Myne would have just been enslaved to the temple, had her mana sucked out of her and worked to death, or if she was a little luckier sold to a noble, had her mana sucked out of her, and worked only nearly to death before they just confine her to a bed and use her as a mana battery. Nobles don't even consider commoners human and think nothing of committing atrocities against them.
The church turned out to be the best choice with the conditions they were able to negotiate for her. She kept a lot of her freedom and the devouring won't be as big of an issue for her from now on. Staying with Benno she would've had to make a massive amount of money before her next heat-up or she would've died and there's no telling if she would've been able to source a magic item even if she had the money since Benno is still lacking with noble connections.
I'm curious to see how the nobles will stir the pot next season though. Will she end up getting adopted? That certainly sounds better than selling herself to be a wife/concubine to a noble.
>Will she end up getting adopted? That certainly sounds better than selling herself to be a wife/concubine to a noble.
Well being adopted wouldn't really change the fact that you're still expected to marry another noble eventually.
>before they just confine her to a bed and use her as a mana battery
For babymaking assuming she'd survive long enough to be able to carry a child. There was that scene that points out that the mother's mana has a big influence on the offspring and that she'd have plenty of suitors coming after her soon enough.
Though with either outcome I doubt she would've lasted long due to her poor health. Becoming a gray robe she would've been going straight to her death and becoming the property of a noble probably wouldn't have been much better.
Well s3 has already been confirmed so it shouldn't be too long until we see it. They'll probably want to keep the hype going so it makes sense to do it asap.
Yes but getting adopted would mean that she'd become at least pseudo-noble. Sure she'd still likely get treated like shit for being common-born but it could increase her prospects enough to find a suitable husband. Its rather different from getting sold to a noble or being forced to marry one.
Controversial opinion coming through: J-novel should not do the prepub partial translation releases for P3V5 (vol12). The pacing of the novel is going to be torture for EOPs to sit through for weeks and weeks before P4 starts. I think they should wait until the whole volume is done before they put it up online.
Be careful, LN readers flock to these threads and some of them are very loose with spoilers. I'd recommend actually not hovering over any spoiled text even if you think it's just the punchline to a joke.
On the subject of being adopted, that still doesn't rule out the possibility of forced marriage. It depends on what her adopted parents would want her to do. Minor spoiler about how mana levels of the parents affect offspring: If the parents' mana levels are too different, that is, if one has way more mana than the other, reproduction becomes impossible. That's why gray robe priestesses can offer flowers and not be constantly pregnant. In Myne's case, she has so much mana that only the nobles with the largest amounts of mana have any chance of impregnating her. Because of that, Myne wouldn't even be good for babymaking as a commoner concubine for the kind of noble who would consider buying her from the Church for that purpose anyway.
Thanks for the warning with spoilers. I've definitely gotten some pretty bad spoilers from other LN adaptation works in Zig Forums.
First part of the spoiler was mentioned in s2 of the anime I think. Otherwise interesting insight. The setup is definitely there that she has massive mana reserves but it's pretty funny to think that one needs to have big dick mana to be able to impregnate one like her. Imagine if some noble had married her without realizing all this and him desperately trying to impregnate her but it just doesn't happen. How humiliating it would be. A COMMONER that has so much mana that someone of noble birth failed to impregnate her.
Not really a spoiler, but becomes apparent in later novels: Nobles are fairly sensitive to mana levels, to the point where if a noble starts increasing the amount of mana they have, others notice almost right away. I think it unlikely that someone would meet Myne, see her use mana, and not immediately realize that she's got a fuckton.

Normally I don't care about spoilers because I wait for translations anyway and they take years, but I'm finally using my moonrunes and reading the raws. So I'd rather stay unspoiled myself since I'm going to be done with the series in a month or two. It's hard because it's so common to use them as jokes on Zig Forums so you get in the habit of just mindlessly hovering over them to look for the joke.
I wanna see Myne master noble etiquette and drop it all in private whenever she needs energy-filling hugs
I too want the anime to continue beyond season 3.
I just want them to make a figure of Myne. the show has 3 seasons and no merch

I feel you. So often you end up just scrolling and peeking into spoilers without properly reading the replychain. Though that's usually your own fault. Many people will just spoiler ruthlessly without tags and not give a fuck.
Japan don't make plastic trading figures anymore. 2d acrylic shit is cheaper to make so they just keep pumping that out and the otakus keep buying it so any figures that do get made are only ever of the main character, don't come until 23 seasons in and cost like 8,000 yen. I'll never get to put a Tuuli on my shelf.
It's too real.
Do it gently she'll last longer that way
Because she would have died of the burnining
