I personally thought it was amazing. It started as a parody but i think it became something really good. Any recommendations for coming of age stories like it?
Opinions on Onani Master Kurosawa?
I heard it has a sad ending so im not gonna read it. I never read manga with romantic themes and sad endings.
unironically one of the best romance i read, despite its romance being like less than 10 chapters long.
wrong, ending could not be better for our mc
Boomer manga, that has no place in Zig Forums
>still no anime
wrong actually. While i would say the story as a whole is a tragedy, the ending is actually pretty good for the mc
You are lying cause all the comments in mangadex said it was a sad ending. You are tricking me into reading it so i get the sad ending feelings.
it has a happy ending wtf are you talking about
there are sad elements in the story but it comes to a good conclusion
yeah, its got sad parts but the ending is happy. Even if it wasnt, i couldn't recommend it enough
It's got the most wish fulfillment happy ending ever. It doesn't make any sense.
>rec thread
Fuck off.
no
Im gonna read it, you guys better not be tricking me into reading sone depressing ass ending where he doesn't get the girl.
If for some reason you think we lied, don't drop, finish to the end.
Anyone here read The Last Menhealer which is by the same author? The manga totally diverted from the original webnovel (which is incomplete and hasn't been updated in like five years).
have fun, i whole hardheartedly promise you it will be good. On a side note, you seem to be a romance fan. What rom series do you recommend?
No i havent, is it worth checking out?
It's unrealistic for the class masturbator to score a gf. He went from relatable to normie, it makes no sense.
if relatable is jacking off in hs girl bathrooms please seek help
like I said before, there are sad parts and some extremely low moments for different characters, but keep going through it, the ending is good
You mean he actually grew up, and the shit he did in MIDDLE SCHOOL became more of a non factor over time?
Right now, Rent A Girlfriend is king, but i would wait a little before starting because the current arc is kind of slow and frustrating to read on a week by week basis.
Also The Dangers In My Heart is very cute, the development is subtle and shows more than tells, great romcom. Still running.
For anime, i recommend Lovely Complex, a very cute romance about a short boy and a tall girl who start falling for each other. Stumbles a little towards the end introducing weird drama, but overall it's a great anime.
There's the famous onea like ToroDora but you probably already seen that. Also Welcome To The NHK anime which i personally consider a romance due to the ending, only the anime tho, the novel and manga are big downers.
If you want something a little slower As The Moon, So Beatifull is also a beatiful little show about romance during youth. Those are the ones i can think of right now user.
thanks for the help bro, thats plenty. I hope you enjoy OMK, it has its lows for the characters but it does end well
>Right now, Rent A Girlfriend is king
Seriously? Even when mentioning Bokuyaba right after it?
Can't imagine this happening in a japanese society though
Rent A Girlfriend hit way too close to home (i done way too similar to Kazuya, except i never got the girl) and kind of gave me a sort of existential crisis and made me get off my ass and try to find a gf (work in progress as of now but im working on myself), so it's personal for me i guess.
Np bro, enjoy them. Ill read OMK too, thank you.
crime and punishment but with jacking off instead of axe murder
>he got away with it and still got gf
truly peak fantasy
Please read with the understanding that things all work out well for MC in the end, including on the romance front.
He realized the toxicity of the path he was heading down, and took action to correct it at great personal cost to himself. Between that and his general good disposition afterwards, it's not hard to understand why Sugawa might have eventually fallen for him. In unfucking himself he demonstrated a tremendous deal of personal courage and grit.
I felt like the girl in the ending was unnecessary and detracted from the story and its themes. His character growth and getting reconnected to his classmates was great but scoring the tsundere felt pretty out of place
Eh, I disagree. I think it helped drive home the fact that, like him, she had been a miserable person in middle school but had grown a lot and recognized that the two of them weren't so different in the end. Additionally, the fact that he did have a normal, healthy romantic relationship in which he consciously pursued someone underlines how completely he has changed from the lowest point in the story, where he was unable to discern friendliness from genuine affection. It caps off his growth into a normally functioning human being. With how central his toxic perception of male-female interaction was to the first half of the story, it wouldn't be complete if he didn't have a real relationship by the end.
>got away with it
He didn't though.
