Why did he kill that guy again?

He started it
Plus it'll piss off his not dad surrogate

Really did not expect Usami to die that soon

Good
Usami a shit

Glad he killed that faggot. Jesus Christ talk about a shtick getting old.

How much time has passed since the start of the series anyway? About a year, right?

Something's been on my mind for a while now. These two are the most suspicious people in the manga.
>kirawas is a random ainu that tags along the gold hunt
Somehow I have a suspicion that he has something to do with the ainu who were hiding the gold. I think he's insignificant but there has to be some reason why this random guy is sticking around in the manga and I can't think of anything but the ainu who were with wilk when they were hiding the gold.
>kadokura is a random prison guard who tags along hijikata
There's something Usami found out about from last chapter that is very suspicious. I can't think of anything but what if he's connected to central just like Kikuta?
Everyone has their own reason why they are part of the great hunt but these two stand out like a sore thumb when you consider their reasons being either weak or absent.

Damn you plot-armored feline!

Golden Kamuy is like my favorite manga with Dorohedoro, yet I stopped reading 2 years ago because I'm not that much into the chapter-by-chapter publication system and I like reading big chunks.
Should I catch up or should I wait a little more?

Wait for it to end then re-read everything.
Speaking of Dorohedoro, is the manga over or are they still in the mall?

It finished a while ago man, she even started a new manga; Dai dark.

Yes, it ended.

Clearly his eye wasn't plot-armored at least

I guess?
There's no real indicator in the manga outside of Inkarmat's pregnancy so I'd say it's about a year and a couple of months

The seasons have been changing but yeah I'd assume about a year has passed.

>wait for it to end
is the end really that close?

Most of the narrative threads have been completed by now, we got basically all of the skins, Usami's dead and all the big players are going to meet in the same place soon.
The only real questions left is where the gold lies and what will happen with the subplot of the government spies before the great showdown between the three factions and whether Ogata will get some sort of redemption or not.

Ushiyama killed Jack just last chapter didn't he

He can still snipe just fine without it, the loss of his eye functionally means nothing

Hijikata's plan involves allying with the ainu, Kirawus is there because he genuinely follows Hijikata probably
Kadokura following Hijikata is odd though yeah, I don't remember his whole deal that well though admittedly

More like he put him out of his misery given how he got gutted by Fujimoto and then dropped him from the second floor.

Not this user but I personally don't think it's near the end but it's we're definitely 75% done with the story. There's still a few things to clear up which means we have 2 more unidentified prisoners with new skins, maybe crashing Tsurumi's wedding, the Ainu murder mystery, central government, a few chapters undercovering more clues on the code, the location of the gold, killing Ogata, Sofia's revolutionary gang, a few character arcs for the cast, wrapping up Hijikata's and Tsurumi's story plus a epilogue. There's still lots of material remaining to cover more than 70 chapters imo.

>Hijikata's plan involves allying with the ainu, Kirawus is there because he genuinely follows Hijikata probably
Probably but it doesn't rule out that he is a suspect. I think Kirawus being involved in the Ainu gold and he's simply tagging along just to take back the gold would be interesting. I have no proof but only suspicions so for now it's just head canon. It would be interesting if he turns out to be a Ainu revolutionary who were originally going to use the gold to liberate themselves or was the one who killed the Ainu and framed Wilk for it.
>Kadokura following Hijikata is odd though yeah, I don't remember his whole deal that well though admittedly
It's really surprising that Usami found out something odd about him. He's not a tattooed guy so something else that Usami found on his body would've identified him as someone suspicious. I also have no evidence but just thought it would be interesting if central is only entering the gold hunt during the middle of it but could easily catch up with the rest of the groups if they have inside men on multiple camps. Central has Kikuta in Tsurumi's camp but what if Kadokura who also works for a government agency (prison guard) who is also secretly a double agent for central? That means they have a inside man for Hijitaka's group as well which gives central a stronger position in the gold hunt other than sticking to one man in Tsurumi's camp.

The point is that the first blood wasn't drawn by Ogata. But then again, looking at this chapter it seems like Usami was sniped while Jack was being thrown out of the window so maybe Ogata got the first kill chronogically.

I AM IMMORTAL FUJOMOTO! repeat ad nauseam.

Will Asirpa and Fujiimoto fuck at some point?

>Tsurumi's wedding
Eh?

Let's do a checklist
>likely wealthy and well connected
>definitely beyond his 40s
>wife and child died
Whether or not he did this on purpose isn't clear but I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted some contingencies against Asirpa's group namely, a hostage to use.

> Kadokura
He's got no goals in his life, so, probably, he's in it just for the sake of it. Also money.

I certainly hope so.

That theory is posted a lot, but I really doubt Tsurumi is the kind of man who would mention his wife and child (not to mention he was a spy during that time). And to begin with he probably doesn't want to get married again, remember the finger bones.
