Its like the author looked through a bunch of older shounen like bleach, nard, YYH, HxH, then took all the tropes that worked for them and threw them all together with some solid writing. Atleast thats been my impression so far, and I'm caught up with the manga.

Not really it may be the second Shonen tropefest, obviously Kimetsu is first, I think that after kimetsu the industry realized there's a big market for very easy to read/watch shonen titles riddled with generic tropes, so expect even more generic shonenshit appearing in he future
