Their ending was happy, they just lived shorter, but they lived happy. It's not like they had to cope with a terrible fact for the rest of their lives, it's just like "ah okay, i will die a little earlier but I will reproduce and have fun" and it's not even treated at a big bad fact that they have to cope with in the ending, you don't even see one page with anyone sad or thinking about their early death. Take Kurosawa as a example, his death is showed as something unexpected and he didn't complete nothing big in his life, he was no one and ended as no one, if wasn't for the hobos being scared he would probably be alive and well, he did great but his fate was sad. Now with Kimetsu, Tanjiro probably died happy after making tons of kids without any regrets with a smile on his face with all his friends by his side.
