I just finished pic related for the first time and i have a lot of questions about how it ended and such
>is lelouch still alive or going to be revived. Like he never fulfilled his contract so why would c2 let him die?
>does everyone still think suzaku is dead?
>do they keep the secret from lelouch's former friends? lelouch tells his sister at the end with some mind shenanigans, is nobody going to tell kallen when she starts asking who tf this new zero is?
>whats up with the hay cart at the end? is he supposed to be on it going to fulfill the last part of his contract?
>did suzaku ever find out what really happened to the princess? Lelouch had to tell him at some point that he actually agreed with her plan, isn't that why they work together at the end?

yeah i never watched it because i didn't know anything about it and thought it looked like yugioh
Lelouch is dead.
I think CC, Cecile, Lloyd, Nunnally, and Nina know Suzaku is alive. Tohdoh and Kallen as well. Everyone else doesn’t.
Yes
Lelouch probably told him.
If he is dead why did c2 allow him to die when she needed him to get what she wanted. Why did she suddenly drop the contract?
Lelouch convinced her to try and enjoy life instead of indulging in her death wish.
>>is lelouch still alive or going to be revived. Like he never fulfilled his contract so why would c2 let him die?
No. Ignore the movie too because it's fanfiction trash. Lelouch dying and staying dead is the only ending that makes thematic sense.
>didn't get the ending
Congratulations, the movie was made for you
I never saw the movie and I have no intention of watching it. I really like the way the show ended I just didn't understand why c2 would let him die without fulfilling the contract. I thought it was going to turn out he was immortal and that he merely faked his death because he didn't want to die anymore knowing now that his sister is alive
The movie had so many problems. It just didn't get Code Geass. From Lelouch's resurrection to his relationship with C.C. being ruined from a deep platonic relationship into a romantic one (Lelouch wasn't big on romance to begin with, but C.C. would be the last person he'd see in that light).
You can always enjoy the idea of believing that ending. AU movie says he was very alive, and the original ending showed him alive, but these days he's canonically dead. I don't know which ending I prefer even after watching it 6+ times.
>Lelouch wasn't big on romance
What do you mean, he tried to fuck kollen when she caught him taking refrain and he loved shirely. He just felt really bad for shirely so he didn't try to get involved before it was to late and his """brother""" killed her
Kallen was his tool, a means for his ends. He never really opened up to her. Shirley was the only one with the a shot at romance, but he didn't want to drag her into all the trouble he was causing.
I think I like the idea that he fulfills his contract rather than just being dead. I think he originally planned to die but after he saw his sister I don't know why he would still want to die if he doesn't have to. I know c2 says that when lelouch was around she felt finally alive for once but theres no part where they cancel the contract. Plus if I were immortal, I would still want to die at some point and I thought thats what her whole character was
I never got the super romantic vibes from the movie but maybe I'm missing something. I know the L.L. move was a 'proposal' or whatever so I guess we'll have to see what their '10 year plan' is that made this movie.
He liked kollen, he didn't really view people he liked as tools until he puts on the show at the end to make every one hate him. Before at the island he tells her in specific to live but later he acts cold because he wants people to hate him. Later on it even shows that he still cares about people when no one else is around when he tells the guards to release the other student who was with the scientist girl who made the bombs. He also made sure not to hurt anyone in the school on many occasions and seemed genuinely sad that he couldn't go back to launch fireworks with everyone when he leaves for the island
>I don't know why he would still want to die if he doesn't have to
Because you're looking at things from your own point of view, not Lelouch's.
>is lelouch still alive
It's somewhat up to interpretation
>going to be revived
not in that timeline, but in the movie timeline he was revived yes
>Like he never fulfilled his contract so why would c2 let him die?
maybe she loved him enough to allow it, or she could just find someone else? There are plenty of ways that particular angle could be satisfied imho.
>do they keep the secret from lelouch's former friends?
yes
>is nobody going to tell kallen when she starts asking who tf this new zero is?
Kallen clearly knows, she says "is this what you and Suzaku had to do" in either the sub or dub, can't remember which
>whats up with the hay cart at the end?
That's the interpretation bit, maybe Lelouch is the driver or inside it. Or maybe they just wanted a cute shot of C2 laying down while also showing her traveling (moving on) so they just put her in a hay cart.
>did suzaku ever find out what really happened to the princess?
It's not outright said, but I would assume so. He knows Geass was involved and he knows Lelouch was lying when he said "I purposefully made her do it to advance my agenda as Zero" or whatever, so he's basically got all the pieces. It's not really important imho.
>isn't that why they work together at the end?
They work together at the end because Suzaku finally stops being retarded and accepts that sometimes you have to get your hands a little dirty to actually do good.
>looks like yugioh
how old are you newfag? 12?
His sister was alive, the only reason he wanted to die was because he thought she was dead, killed indirectly by him. It is stated all the time that she is the sole reason he wants to stay alive. If all the films and stuff indirectly bring him back and he no longer has a reason to want to die, why would he kill himself?
like I said I didn't know anything about it. I recently heard about what it actually was so I decided to look it up. Loved it from the moment he shot clovis. And come on, don't deny that this show looks like yugioh I know that you know that it does

That's not true at all. Her "you were just another chess piece!" schtick was to keep her safe and was explicitly followed by him whispering "you have to live". He definitely cared for her, and the reason he was keeping her at a distance is because of what happened with Shirley. You are correct about him not opening up to her though, he wasn't "real" with anyone except CC to some degree.
Discounting Suzaku, why is Kallen more popular in the West while C.C. dominates the East?
You do realize Zero Requiem is Lelouch's way of punishing both himself and Suzaku, right?
Opening 3 = best opening

Kuuderes aren't a popular character type in the west. C.C. is also seen as duplicitous, manipulative, and not as badass as Kallen (last one is only by animefags though).
I thought lelouch didn't really give a shit about any of the bad things he did outside of shirely and suzaku. Later shirely makes it up by telling him that she doesn't care what he did and that she loves him anyway and he didn't purposefully do anything to the princess. Outside of those things nothing really shook him that bad. shirely forgave him, and he blamed geass for the massacre, not himself
lelouch didn't care and never planned to die until he thought his sister had died. He hated himself for shirely but she explains that she didn't care what he did and that she loves him. He blamed geass for the massacre which is why he goes on a crusade to wipe out the power. I don't see how you mean he was punishing himself when the only things he cared about ended up turning out to either alive or forgiving him. I don't think even for a second he cares about the random soldiers he killed and he is never shown to

The same reason Rei was the face of the anime itself in Japan in the 90s, while Asuka tended to edge her out in western polls (although the most recent Japanese poll shows Japan seems to have gotten sick of Rei at this point).
That's Lelouch facing tragedy that coincides with a particular love interest of the day being relevant to the narrative. Whether it's Shirley's unrequited feelings to Kallen's struggle with her conflicting feelings with Lelouch and Zero. And C.C. was more of a platonic, non-sexual life-partner thing by the end of it all.
