Why does Japan have such an aversion to building muscle? Muscular men are generally thought of as undesirable and commonly portrayed as being dim-witted or called derisively as gorillas. Muscle mass has no implication on someone's intelligence. A lot of smart people are also well built.

From what I've seen their main body type is thin and short. Anything that deviates from that is culturally un normal.
