Themes in Anime & Manga

Any particular themes you wish were more included in Anime & Manga? For me in particular, I wish there were more manga that includes isolation, envy, obsession, (potentially incest if done in a tasteful manner). I frankly love when stories tackle controversial topics in a tasteful fashion and don't wash over it.

I really wish Anime and Manga emphasize the fact that in a love triangle the friendship between wome vying for the same man’s love and attention actually deteriorates their friendship. It adds a whole layer of drama that many mangakas do not explore.

Hopefully, you mean realistically. Tired of characters treating incest as a joke and not a serious problem that should be dealt with as soon as possible. It’s disgusting and should be dissuaded.

I wish that most themes that are prevolent were actually written for adults, by adults, with some thought put into it.

Yeah, the thing about love-triangles is that someone is always gonna lose, and nobody really talks about the loser.

I really wish the mangakas honestly explored the consequences of the characters actions in-depth instead of sweeping them under the rug.

Isolation and insanity with characters no more than 2 or 3. Like 127 hours and The Lighthouse.

there are those types of series. Sadly a lot of them are too uninteresting to ever get translated or published. The closest thing we'll get here are series that occasionally make fun of the work culture.
