I think it's more like Isayama doesn't want to admit his own shit writings nor give manlet too much focus (which, let's be honest, right now Isayama wants to build Eren vs Armin up, one chapter dedicated to manlet would take all the attention from Armin)

Well, LH or Erwl fanservice, even ZL would take a lot of focus from Armin. It's what I don't like about Armin's treatment, that Isayama needs to nerf the other characters developments in order for Armin to have focus. I cant believe this is the same man who could handle a lot of characters in the past.

So no, don't expect any serious manlet's development like him recognizing his own mistakes

If it was really the reason, it would have been simpler to make Manlet giving up and follow Armin for an entire focus on EAr. Instead of that, we'll have a detour (and, yeah, probably a chapter or half a chapter) to wrap up ZL.

That subplot could have been easily solved in the forest. Just show Hange and Manlet talking about how they'd rather kill Zeke than Eren (since it's clear that both still have a soft spot for him), although Manlet did already say that when he received Pixis's orders but some people (fujos mostly) still don't understand. Chapter 126 was a rushed mess.
