Mining is a thing but I've heard that it's hard to make a profit. I'd use something like

Rather little would happen, aside from it becoming harder to purchase in the banned country(s). I don't think a ban is likely any time in the near future, if the US didn't feel concerned enough when Bitcoin was being used as the pedophile/drug dealer's coin then they won't feel pressed enough to ban Monero.

Nah it isn't a meme. The relevant people involved have already shown that atomic swaps are possible, but it hasn't been implemented yet. I think the community is waiting for a CCS proposal soon to provide funding for that.

Thats right just one. I can't say this about any other coin maybe Bitcoin. But seriously 1XMR will go a long way in a few years time. It's seriously undervalued. 100XMR could very well be worth over 1M within 5 years especially if you factor in things like global hyperinflation

i trade shitcoins take a 7 to 10 pct here and there, buy xmr with the profits, keep rest in btc, wait for the moon to 20k, then i adde even more xmr, evenually i'll have only xmr.

What I like: Fixed supply PoW coin similar to BTC or XMR.

Advantages: PoS layer makes codt-to-attack extremely high, on-chain treasury subsidy means work doesn't depend on donations or VC schemes, decentralized on-chain voting for proposals, atomic swap DEX and other features.

Disadvantages: small quiet community, no marketing, somewhat centralized in practice.
