Grandma died and left money in her bank account for me and my cousin to split but cousin said she was having trouble...
burn that bitch house
get a lawyer and sue. If you aren't larping you could probably get a pretty significant amount more than what your grandma left you if you make the case you missed out on an investment. Your cousin flat out stole from you
are you going to sue OP
how can i prove it it was not done legally there's no will and it was just what she said when she was in her last weeks to me and my cousin but since i could not enter the hospital cuz covid my cousin got all the bank account details and is now pretending she cant get into the money
you can prove that she took all the money, and then your lawyer can help argue that for you. If the bitch took the money out of the account she probably has taxes to pay on it too
i dont think it was a huge sum but probably around 20k so 10k each is it worth to cause drama in family
this is why you will not succeed in life. success comes to those who are either lucky (not you) or fight for it (also, apparently, not you)
Yes. Make the thief pay up even if you need to get a lawyer. If you don’t do it now, she will steal something more important to you down the road than just money
There NEEDS to be drama when a family member steals from their own family!! Not only is your cousin stealing from you she disrespecting your grandma
im not saying i wont im just wondering if i will look like a petulant child in the process of fighting for 10k
yeah stealing 10's of thousands of dollars is literally something to make drama about
I'd sue too. When a person dies their assets go through probate.
you really are a massive KEK, even if that bitch stole only $100 you should've sued
There is nothing petulant about reclaiming what was stolen from you.
Lmao why even make this shit thread in the first place? You are total pussy.
crawl to the doorstep of her new house and beg to suck her toes for even a measly $100, this method seems more your style
First of all, condolences. Moving on from that, I firmly believe you should see for yourself, is it worth the fight? Causing drama in the family is bad and toxic, but this goes way beyond disgusting. Stealing from family is betrayal, and if this was a third world country we wouldnt even need a lawyer, the rest of the family should fix the problem. Therefore, I'd recommend you bring a lawyer.
Best of luck, bring the best lawyer and be smart, if you win not only will you get back your money and more, but also dignity and place some order in the family. Be a man, in my culture we say society led by women are headed to the unknown.
You cousin is a dumb whore thief who stole from you. Just get the bank account information from the bank yourself and you'll easily be able to see if she stole from you. If she says it doesn't exist, that's bullshit, the bank has records so go directly to them
Lol you got robbed by a girl, you deserve it for being such a little bitch
Her mistake is telling you she can't get the money, meaning she agrees that she owes you money. You'd be more fucked if she just said she's taking the money.
If this is real, then I'd at LEAST consult a lawyer about this. I'd be surprised if shit like this didn't happen all the time. I don't know how hard it would be without a will, because if there isn't one and there's nothing in writing that says the money is yours, then idk how you can fight that one. If the money just went to whoever had access to the bank account, then it sounds like your grandmother made the mistake here. Families show their true colors when money is involved.
Just turn it around, is it worth causing drama by stealing 20k from your cousin disrespecting your grandmas will? Sue her you complete moron.
ya there is no will and because corona i wasnt able to see her in the hospital so she trusted my cousin to handle it fairly
Building a house costs more than 20k you know. Are there other expected recipients of her inheritance?
i dont know for sure that she has stolen it and she has some of her own money already so the 20k i assume would have helped her on her way to a house. its possible that she's telling the truth and she's having trouble getting money out of the accounts. it has been 2 months since my grandma died though and i never thought she would do something like this so i gave her the benefit of the doubt and just believed it but now that she's making a new house and hasn't contacted me obviously I feel like something may have happened
Only if it’s was sent by text message that would be evidence.
If she maintains that she couldn’t get the money she is also admitting that some of the money is yours and you have damages to sue for
Building a house costs like 100k-200k. The best you can do is to document texts where she tells you she can't access it. If she's telling you that she can't access the bank account and admits that you're entitled to your share then it's proof that she admits your Grandma left you something. Just follow up on her and ask what's the progress of the bank account thing.
>and hasn't contacted me obviously
Maybe she just forgot?
Think of it this way. Not being able to access a bank account is a lie that is easy to prove or disprove in a court of law. A verbal agreement by your grandmother, however, is not. The best way of stealing that money from you would just be ghosting you, not making lies that can be disproved in court.
So create a text paper trail, but don't reveal your suspicious.
Ask for the bank details and verify for yourself then retard.
Yes, if OP sends text message inquiries and she refuses to respond then that means the bank account is definitely drained by her.
