Majo no Tabitabi
Is Elainas journey the antithesis to the trope of “the real reward was the friends we made along the way”? In contrast, she only makes enemies
Any explanation user?
this show is just mediocre and going to be forgotten immediately after it ends
Well why didn't Eleanor just put back the shopping cart?
Because there was no shopping cart
she killed millions
This is like Golden Boy.
Except this time all the people she met along the way will team team to kill her, instead of helping her.
season 2 confirmed?
Why didn't she report the rape to the authorities of her country?
Because its obvious he broke no laws.
He broke moral laws, user.
The dude is the authorities
Her country looks a lot stronger and wealthier so they could make him bend easily.
>moral
>law
>is ok to be a piece of shit
i remember when this board had morals and soul
fucking done with this place,im going back to /vp/
yet you accepted pedos all this time
Elainas the final boss to someone else
it's just muricans, they project themselves like "what about good slave owners"?
do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law
lmao americans are the ones most inclined to force their moral standards on others
In a perfect world witches like Elaina would not exist.
She isn't a piece of shit she just isn't a hero. Any argument against this boils down to people assuming she can do things we don't know she can do for sure.
Die
Counterpoint: In a perfect world everyone would be Elaina
Why didn't Elaina just fly away with the slave and leave her in the field of flowers?
At least her death would have been useful
Now this is real thinking.
Who is Elaina going to end up with and why is it Saya?
inquisition when?
Bowlcut guy is in love a 'servant' at his house, Nino. Elania goes back to his house for a meal after Bowlcut pressures her. There is a scene where Elania mocks Bowlcut for wanting her to be proud of him because he's rich.
Elania doesn't want to be there, but she's being polite. Enter Nino, who we find out is a slave from Bowlcuts dad who lecherously drinks in Elainia's body on sight.
Nino is very, very cute. The audience is supposed to hate the lecherous dad, like Bowlcut, and feel worried for Nino at this point.
During the meal, Nino drops a vase because of bad cgi. Elaina gets up, literally points her wand directly at lecherous dad, as if she thinking of doing something to him.
However, she turns her wand away from him and restores the vase with magic. Then, she leaves, as she is a traveler.
She remarks that she doesn't want to know what happened to Nino.
A normal isekai MC would have gutted both of them in one blow and inducted Nino into his harem on the spot.
What Elainia did is what anyone of us would do: we see something disgusting, we walk away. Zig Forums knows that they would do the same in real life, if they saw someone with a slave they wouldn't do anything.
In stories we expect the focal character to have courage to do what would never do in real life. What Elaina actually did, as presented by her pointing the wand at lecherous dad, was decide not to attack him for being lecherous and cruel, and instead choose to be kind.
Elaina's moral choice, a test of her emotions, was to either magic the old man or do an act of kindness. She chose kindness towards Nino, rather than the violence that Zig Forumsnon expects of her.
Also Nino's suicide and/or life of unhappiness wed to Bowlcut is a given. Elaina suspects this, which is why her final line of the episode is 'she doesn't want to know.'
Elaina and Saya are both going to end up in my harem.
If you run away from problems you are partially responsible for that makes you a piece of shit
like every seasonal anime post-2014. nothing has staying power anymore.
It's been going on for 4 days
You left out the important part to make Elaina seem good
I haven't seen a burning witch though
Strop making sensible posts, bro.
How is she responsible for the problem of slavery in this particular nation? She is a traveler.
Imagine being that one guy who was trolling every thread since anime was announced and screaming how it's going to flop.
The only thing you are going to end up with is a broom up your ass.
It's not sensible though, he deliberately omitted the part about the jar of memories because that's the part that makes Elaina come across as a shit
An "inquisition" would soon turn into a "war on terror", the terrorist being whatever organization or "church" behind it. Why? Because all a witch has to do is fly into the castle of all the monarchs of the land and "kindly" ask them "hey, boy, you will side with us witches here, right? YoU wiLL dO tHaT FoR mE, RiGhT!?"
She's partially responsible for the jar retard, she told the son to give it to her.
It doesn't? It was the guy's idea to show her the jar and he would do it sooner or later with or without her push.
Is it going to be this autistic the whole season?
>season 2 all but guaranteed
How does that make her come across as shit? Was she supposed to stop him from showing her? She didn't remember the end of that story until she was leaving.
No but it's very likely. It's doing great on every streaming site and novels just got second repring in two weeks.
Honest mistake. She didn't know Nino's situation at that point and by the time she remembered what happened in the story it was too late.
She still has a moral responsibility to go back and at least confront the consequences of not remembering, but instead she takes the easy way out to protect her own emotions
>What Elainia did is what anyone of us would do: we see something disgusting, we walk away. Zig Forums knows that they would do the same in real life, if they saw someone with a slave they wouldn't do anything.
These kinds of posts are all just projection. You people just want to believe everyone is as shitty as you. The only people in these threads I know for certain don't donate to charity are the ones accusing everyone else of not donating to charity.
Imagine actually believing this. Being you must be suffering daily.
Just because the woman in the story committed suicide, does not mean in any way Nino did, it was NOT implied in the Ln, or Anime, just your assumption. Besides, Emil kind of confessed his love to her too, this is one happiness that is actually within her grasp, maybe its enough for her to live.
since the other response left out the important part I am going to tell you.
The son of the chief has a thing for his fathers slave and decides to impress her by giving her a jar of magically saved memories of happiness, after an incident where she gets abused by the father over a dropped plate Elaina suggests the son give her the jar then
as Elaina is leaving she suddenly realizes that giving a slave a jar showing the happyness she will never have may lead to suicide and instead of going back she goes not my problem and flies away.
her going back to look at the wreckage wouldn't do anyone any good
Donating to charity isn't a crime. Freeing a legally owned slave is.
What's important isn't if it does any good, it's if it's moral
and for all elaina knows he hadn't actually given her the jar yet.
Fuck off with your moral faggotry, even you don't believe your own words
what about forcibly buying a slave from her current owner for a single copper coin?
That would however give this part of the journey a "special treatment" that might ruin the journey as a whole. So it's in fact quite the opposite. Continuing the journey despite the uneasiness that might continue to linger on for who knows for how long deep in her heart, is the difficult duty of someone who considers themselves a true "traveler". Someone who goes back "to check" immediately after leaving does not have the affinity for wandering across the world.
Slaves, non magics and SJWs are sub human. Just let them be.
Yes that is a crime
Also in that same episode elaina lies to town guards about where she got a poisonous plant that sends people insane and in doing so gets one of the guards killed because the other guards couldn't know the source to stop the one guard that figured it out from going and getting himself killed
>forcibly
Sounds like extortion to me.
Fun fact: the final boss of first big arc culminating in vol3 is punished Elaina from a different timeline.
Was it stated that the jar was gonna play a clip show of other people being happy? I kinda assumed it would just make whoever opened it they themselves happy, like magical drugs.
>You people just want to believe everyone is as shitty as you
Just look at the news.
I just like her hat, you guys.
Have you noticed how fucking humongous it is? Would you wear such a hat if you were a witch?
yes
>tell him
>he goes to look for her
>dies
>don't tell him
>he may try to look for her elsewhere
>may not die
Only an idiot would go to a poisonous flower field by their own volition.
