There were times when Watching Naruto was enjoyable.
1. Naruto transforming into a large shuriken for Sasuke to throw at Zabuza.
2. Shikamaru using his jacket as an extension of his shadow.
3. Shikamaru using Kakuzu’s blood as a decoy for Hidan to swallow and kill.
4. Naruto and Kakashi trying to hit Obito in both dimensions .
Now it’s all, Kamehameha your enemies and destroying the environment on the process.

Fights that have nothing but hand to hand combat can be interesting, the problem here is that Kishi barely can draw an well choreographed fight, most fights in Naruto are closer to showcases of the characters' abilities than actual combat.

Why would they be talking about the part where nothing happens? No one says that someone punching sand is their favorite fight. People suck off the part where Lee takes off his weights and literally uses the Kaioken to finally do damage by going retard mode and punching the sand harder. Meanwhile, they ignore all the amazing strategic stuff later in the series because there were too many explosions and giants.
The better animated fights fix that
