I have a plea for you folks.
Stop removing the fun threads. Please. Removal of the comfy thread just now was just too much. I understand that they are against rules, strictly speaking, but the rules are made for people, not the other way around. You are suffocating this board. People here have interests that are related to animu and mango, but do not fit the rules exactly. Discussion of these interests can enrich the board greatly and it will not cause the community to go off the rails. That way of doing things is not without precedent, that's how the board was ran during its best years, from its foundation till about 2011-2013. All it takes is a bit of discretion. Please use it or, if you're short staffed, at least try to.
If it's really that bad just let it drown. I understand deleting a thread that may cause an invasion of Zig Forums or Zig Forums, but the community certainly is large enough to fend off any undesirable elements of /w/ or /i/.

Most of the ones I enjoy reading read or post in. I can't put my finger on what exactly is the criterion. OC except for the weekly drawfag, artwork. All discussions that went slightly further than liking or disliking things about shows and mangas and lusting for characters.

That's the issue with the current situation: anything new is killed on sight. It's very hard to argue against it because it requires defending the new, and it does not yet exist. One can say the it'll probably turn out to be some boogeyman and discard any defense. But we need the new. It's far too stuffy here.

The problem with allowing "fun threads" is people like this who treat their pure shitposting pseudo-generals where they just samefag the same few images in their folder while spamming some retarded catchphrase or the like, or similar off-topic shitposting threads that have no place on Zig Forums or anywhere as anything other than """fun threads""". Basically, it's up to the mod to decide what off-topic threads are okay and what a worth deleting, and guess what? They're not going to give enough of a shit to check every one and make sure it's the right kind of funposting. It's an unrealistic expectation. You either get off-topic threads with the shitposting threads all they all get deleted the same. Sadly people forgot how to use the sage function so shitposting garbage threads get bumped forever until deletion so self-moderation isn't an option.

I've been trying every day to get them to do something about Zig Forums's quality so that other board's aren't affected, they don't give a single flying fuck and you should go somewhere else instead because and I quote. >"hurr we cannot stop da freespeech lol! the users are the ones who determine da board quality!"
