I love the Viz translation of Rurouni Kenshin; I think it's top notch translation work for the most part and really captures the characters as intended. The fucking Viz Naruto translation is so clunky and offputting at times, to say nothing of the censorship, that it outright ruins some scenes. Just wait til we get to Jiraiya's death here, it's fucking terrible what they do to some of his last few lines.

Viz RuroKen is so good fan translations appear unreadable by comparison. Shaman King's wasn't bad either even if they couldn't decide how to translate certain characters' names consistently. But this series went through 5 or 6 translators in part 1 alone, and every time they got worse.
