>6 years
>Almost 300 chapters
>Still first year students
How garbage is this pacing?
6 years
i thought they were second years now
Not yet, they're either in January or February.
I think March but either way the current arc ends and starts school break followed by year 2.
it became popular, they are milking it to death,it will be the new one piece
>One Piece
>10 years
>500 chapters
>only like 2 months have passed in canon
Kek
Imagine Horikoshi recycling the sports festival, inter-class training, even more internships...
Internships are definitely going to continue being a thing.
I also don't mind sports festival.
Dragon Ball had the Budokai, and that was almost invariably the best part about it.
It seems like he's going out of his way to jam pack as much as possible into year 1, the question is why. Personally I would have introduced one or two time jumps and had year 2 have started already, maybe after license exam, or after overhaul.
>only like 2 months have passed in canon
is this true?
how...
>(pic) 15 years in Feb. 2021
>about 4 months Saki time
winning at slowness
Toriko was the last jump story i've read that had good pacing
It isn't, we also don't have a great understanding of the amount of time that has passed. But there has been a two year time skip.
I would say that it is an over exaggeration, at most all the adventures of luffy and his crew through the east blue and paradise happened like half a year in almost 500 manga and anime chapters
You don't read shonen for plot progression, user
I havent read this one in a long time but i want to know; it didnt have a time-skip yet right? What are the chances of one happening?
there's a big war arc going on right now so it seems somewhat probable, but who knows with this author
The author already fuck up the power scale, I don't think there is a second year after this arc.
>The author already fuck up the power scale
Nope, it was already established since All Might vs AFO
Most Light novels a stuck in the same. Biggest example DxD.
Lets not forget, ONE PIECE has been going since 1997, and the still haven gotten close to the prize.
>thinking o my seven quirks will be the extent of bullshit
See you in a couple years.when Deku's original quirk suddenly manifests and mutates all the others.
>Washizu started in 1997
>Ended in 2017
>covered a few hours at most
I love and loathe Mahjong
a slapfight between AFO and All Might, two guys who were running on fumes and nearly dead basically flattens multiple city blocks
What's the so called one Piece anyway
this current arc already feels like a year 2 level events
A lot of flashbacks that take a lot of real-time to get done, but time isn't progressing in story for it to happen and multiple things happening at once with various crew members. The Don Flamanco arc is a few days long in universe but took over a year real-time to be released. It's odd. Doesn't help that we don't actually know how long it takes the straw hat crew to sail anywhere and that gets abridged so time flows kind of strangely with One Piece
>300 chapters
>still in their first year
>deku has four quirks already
how does hori stop the power creep?
What, really?
No is a retard it's been almost one year we had a 3 month time skip last arc. They are literally one month away from being 2nd years. If you think thats bad the strawhats knew eacother for under 6 months before the time skip at 500 chapters. Jojos part 5 took place in one week also.
nvm looks like Im a retard didnt realize was talking about one piece
In an interview 2 years ago that came out around the time of the culture festival, Horikoshi said he had wanted the manga to end around volume 30, but found that he likely wouldn't be able to set up everything by then so it would wind up going a bit beyond that.
This is very likely the final arc, and he never had plans on covering years 2 and 3.
It's actually funny watching it get shit on by kimetsu and now looking to be past by JJK and CSM when the latter gets an anime
The acceleration of threat levels with AFO is intense enough that unless they pull a Naruto and make a super villian out of nothing, the setting is out of people that can be a threat so it will hopefully end soonish. The lack of aging up does make it a little rough though since the characters will have completed all of their goals in a year or two while still high school
If BnHA ends with this arc I will laugh so hard. It will go out with such a sad pathetic whimper
Something that will disappoint everyone and fans will pretend it doesn't matter using "it's about the journey" cope.
Deku still has 4 more quirks to discover. It will not end anytime soon
The second sports festival will be interesting just for the amount of power creep since the first one.
I love how that's the goal. Not about character development or stopping a threat it's just more power shit to unlock.
Unfortunately Horoi cares too much about le epic God of War boss fights
Idk what are you talking about. Hori isn't just gonna end the series like this
He unlocked a power with a hand wave, I really don't have high hopes for how the other quirks are going to be "earned"
MHA apparently is going to have 10 films planned.
Only way we avoid the second year is with a time skip.
