I hope you are joking. the Eclipse in Berserk is straight out of Hellfaiser and Evil Dead. Bastard!! Itself is filled with pop culture references, nothing in it is original.

For me, a chad, it would be VERITAS instead.

Re-read the Armageddon & the Eclipse. They're pretty similar.
The only difference is one is full of demons killing humans while the other one is full of
angels killing humans.

Berserk. went downhill after golden age, but still a really well done manga for the most part. bastard is unfunny trash

The Eclipse is literally the love child of Hellraiser and Evil Dead. Miura in at the end of the eighties was referencing western horror and sci-fi novels, not a fellow mangaka.

I got bored of Berserk after "reading" it for 10 years, but having to wait for the hiatus to stop for more than half that time, and I have never read Bastard! so i would pick the latter just to read something new
