My guess is that the world will end up in one where Guts either kills off the Idea of Evil and thus actually malicious entities, thus leaving the Berserk world to be a regular high fantasy world, or the Idea of Good or something like that is created through some crazy mumbo jumbo to actively combat the Idea of Evil. Though I doubt the latter would happen because what would Good Apostles look like?

This. SK was not a morally good guy. In fact most characters in berserk aren't. Guts isn't a paragon you should live your life by, but rather a victim of circumstance. Even the count had reasons to be a dick which at first seem morally acceptable. SK's tale is a warning.
