Can someone actually explain why this show is supposed to be AOTD? It was just kind of "meh" - the anime. Edginess is kind of overdone.
Can someone actually explain why this show is supposed to be AOTD? It was just kind of "meh" - the anime...
1. It's not edgy.
2. It's not proclaimed as AOTD by anyone outside of this shithole -- it's 7/10 at best.
It's not something that can be explained. Sorry it didn't speak to you
It's not AOTD.
>It's not something that can be explained
Can you attempt to, at the very least? This sounds like a pretty shitty deflection to all criticism or skepticism.
It wasn't edgy though, Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku was edgy, as was Mahou Shoujo Site. Madoka didn't glorify violence or show anything without a reason for showing it.
I neither desire nor need anyone's agreement. If you don't agree, I won't be upset or stirred, because I know madoka's message in my heart
Great writing, with strong plot pacing and theme all around.
based moralfag
It's not. Most people complain about the poor characterization and pacing.
One day Zig Forums is going to explain to me what pacing is
It's hard to answer because it's such a broad question. You can also why something is good and get real answers that usually involve people pointing to things like story and characters but probably nothing more specific than that because anything more is internet essay material.
People who have never seen another magical girl anime saw how cool it could be. That and it was condensed into 12 episodes for the modern brainwashed seasonal anime watchers.
Good story. Great art. Well executed themes. Wild ride.
It's better than anything else from its year at least.
Moefags and Trannies think a 3/10 anime is a 7/10.
So if you take a 6/10 anime like Madoka they'll consider it a 10/10.

It's not edgy.

Based Madokachad!
Madoka is a 9/10 at the minimum.
It's “edgy” because it's an m.g. series.
It's a bit grimdark, moral relativity, but that's nothing new.
They made an m.g. series that wasn't flufly wish fulfillment, so it's automatically brilliant.
It was about as edgy as Sakurasou to be honest, but to be fair many also overrate that simply because it's a harem series but now things go wrong very often and the members of Sorata's harem are actually all complete characters with their own life and exist for more reasons than to sexually gratify whoever self-inserts into Sorata.
Also, F.M.A. is the greatest thing ever because it features a young male protagonist with magical powers who's a bit of a ragetard, but... the plot doesn't contradict itself with every new chapter and there's no senseless power level scaling.
Lesser minds value not on own merit but relative to their expectations and associations.
>Liking FMA for Edward Elric
Shit taste user, everyone knows Mustang is the true protagonist
And those same people typically know nothing about characterization or pacing.
I never said I liked anyone.
I merely said that F.M.A. is heralded as a masterpiece because it's a series with a teenage male with magical powers who's a ragetard living in a world where magical powers are common, having fights with random people, and it's not as godawful as everything else with those attributes is.
At least it's not as bad as Rebellion
le ebin plot tweests
>It's not proclaimed as AOTD by anyone outside of this shithole
That's obviously not true otherwise there wouldn't be anyone seething about it.
All of these.
The sound is the part that really elevates it. Doesn't get enough credit in this area
>young male protagonist
>greatest thing ever
