Admit it, this would be great as slice of life and comedy through to the end with a side plot about the world ending which doesn't really interrupt the SoL flow and an additional romance side story. It could even work as a straight drama without heavy sci fi and fantasy shit thrown in. The appearance of the hacker kid was a major red flag...I have a bad feeling about this anons.

Clannad is a boring anime and the After Story reset was one of the dumbest twists and cop outs of all time. The best parts were right before that happened.
Air is pretty decent. Better than Clannad. Charlotte was a disaster.
Kanon anime is good, though degraded by its effort to combine all routes together. The VN is Key's best work by far and one of the greatest VNs. Shiori's route is my favorite VN route of all time, there's no other character like her. I love her so much.

99% sure kamiloli and hackerboy escaped from some research facility and the world ending is some nonsense that will be solved without much fuss in the last episode. Either this heads off the rails and ends up being decent or it just flops, and I'm not optimistic.
