The Futaba ripped one and the potato salesman got amused and gave her an extra sweet potato which made Mitsuba claim she also should get an extra one because she held a fart in, which made the youngest one (can't remember her name) call Mitsuba a pig.

The early episodes (1-4) are a bit hard to get through because the author was still figuring out where to go with the series.
It becomes less shock-humor and more character-driven comedy the further you get into it, which is the best kind of comedy.
