An interesting manga in the genre of alternative history "Atlantic War | 大西洋 戦 記" by Japanese artist chiko was found on the Internet. According to the plot, the Russian Empire grew incredibly and by 1944 a new world war began ...
Links to the first part of 135 pages - pixiv.net/en/artworks/72367517
and the second part of 88 pages - pixiv.net/en/artworks/82931876
for those who know Japanese or don't mind flipping through the images. (it's a pity that such a curious story is not being translated)

And yet, let's discuss manga and anime in the genre of alternative history?

bump because interesting

Russia would never have been allowed to expand to such an extent (see the Crimean War). I am a Russboo and agree that a Russia without a Communist Revolution would be more industrious but I doubt it would be sufficient to maintain control of an expanded territory as seen here.

>see the Crimean War
According to the author, Turkey was defeated by Russia in 1836 and England and France tried to intervene - something similar to the battles in Gallipolli turned out. As a result, Turkey retained Egypt and Arabia, as well as the North African territories, but lost the straits and Anatolia

>turkey losing anatolia
Yeah no. Isn't that their core territory

Her Imperial Highness Catherine in the uniform dress of the honorary commander of the 2nd regiment of the Janissary Guard, the guards of Constantinople. Tsesarevna is known for her interest in electronic engineering and electrical devices, which was one of the reasons for her military service at the radar station.

1) Russia is the de facto leader of a coalition of 17 monarchies headed by the Russian Tsar as a sovereign
2) the level of imperial power is similar to that of a dualistic monarchy
3) the imperial flag - a yellow banner with a white St. Andrew's Cross and a black Double-headed Eagle. In his claws he holds the Code of Laws and the Scriptures, symbolizing "Right" and "Faith" as the basis of the Throne
4) the yellow-green flag of the Overseas Territories, more precisely East Africa, as one of the 3 African and 4 Asian lands not included in the dynastic union with Russia, but ruled from its capital
5) The airship in the photo, one of the aircraft of the Ministry of Transport. Air transport was called upon as a kind of means of combating Russian distances

As far as I understand, Ottoman Turkey after the defeat actually moved to Egypt - we can say that the Sultan's tanzimat in this AI will rely on Muhammad Ali Pasha. Russia, in the end, will get Anatolia, where at that time a considerable part of the population were Greeks and Armenians, who were Orthodox peoples - judging by the world map from the prologue, the "Constantinople Empire" owns Asia Minor and Mesopotamia.

This world's Russia seems to have went through a liberal revolution, rather than a communist one. The author wrote here that the official name of the nation is "The Imperial Union of Nations Which Share the 7th of March Constitution", and it's less of an actual empire but a bunch of nations united in one alliance and a common constitution, but all having different laws and customs. Turkey seems to be a part of the union, not a subject. There's also Poland for some reason.
But yeah, this is just based off the writer's Vickey game, so it's not surprising that it's weird.

Winning a single war means nothing. Interfering with British and French machinations for the Middle East, Africa and Asia would make Russia the primary antagonist for both empires. Any expeditions in to the Balkans would upset the Austrians as well (assuming they're still around in 1914). Looking at the map makes me think the Americans, Dutch and Italians +/or (whatever the fuck blob in Western Europe is) will have issues with such a large empire as well.

A lot of alt-history also ignore the reasonable reactions of the nations around them. Germany in this example is not united. Realistically when faced with a single large empire threatening them a coalition would form.

But... Is Himmler chicken still the best?

>Winning a single war means nothing.

Timeline:
- 1836 Turkish troops suffered a devastating defeat from the Russian army in the "Battle of Sofia" and predetermined the defeat of the Ottoman Empire. The result was the acquisition by Russia of the Balkan Turkish provinces and colonies in North Africa + the capital was moved to Constantinople. The Turkish court moved to Egypt. (This year for the fork was probably taken because of the Vixen case, which provoked the Russian-British diplomatic conflict in Ingushetia, and in AI it turned into a hot one due to the victory of revanchism in Ottomania after the Adrianapolis Treaty)

- 1837. England and France took the side of "Egypt", whose united troops landed near Tirana, thereby starting the "Bosphorus War". Russia did not succeed in winning this conflict, but the allies were able to drink only compensation for the Turks-in-exile, they failed to return their lands. (France's entry into the coalition is apparently due to the elections and the desire to rectify the situation with the parliamentary crisis)

- 1840 due to the growing Russian threat to India and other British interests, London is rapidly increasing military spending, including on land forces.

- 1848 against the background of all these events, the Scandinavian Kingdom is formed, which united Northern Europe (it is not clear why there is Finland, since it passed to Petersburg back in 1809, but there is clearly no talk of a war after 48 AD?)

- 1851 in Prussia, after a series of diplomatic and military failures from Bavaria, supported by Russia and France, in attempts to expand its power in Germany, a revolution began and the newly-born republic fell out of the category of Great European Powers

- 1855-60. Civil War in the SGA, which led to the disintegration of the country into two states. The Confederation of the South, supported by Britain and Russia during the conflict, effectively becomes their protectorate.

1/2

- 1870 the beginning of the colonization of the lands of Africa by the Great Powers

- 1877 the emergence of public unrest and national friction in Russia with the demands of reform and freedom, under the impression of which the Emperor signed the "Constitution of the 7th March", which initiated the reform process and rebuilt the Empire into a Union of Constitutional Monarchies headed by the Russian Tsar. (it seems that the early version of Crimean on foreign territory affected relatively well on constitutional construction)

- 1888 the Italian Kingdom is created

- 1889 Turkey becomes an ally of Russia, and the newly created Israel is part of it. The uprising of nationalists in China and the establishment of a new dynasty, Manchuria splits off and forms a separate state headed by the Qing.

- 1892 the Minsk Conference was held, delimiting the possessions of Europeans in Africa

- 1902 the "Agreement on the Defense Interest" was signed between Russia, Austria and Italy. The so-called "Mediterranean Alliance" is born, whose goal is to prevent the unification of Germany and the elimination of British influence in the region

- 1904 The United Kingdom, France and the Republic of Prussia have formed a military alliance against the "Mediterranean" called the "Trade Federation".

- 1905 "Pacific War" in South America. Spain supports Argentina and Chile in the conflict and increases its influence on the continent.

- 1910 the beginning of a serious economic crisis in Italy, resulting in a movement for the secession of the Italian North.

- 1914 Russian Prince Mikhail was killed during a trip to Russian East Africa by a Frenchman named François de Chardy, who belonged to the Catholic extreme-right organization Left Hand of Darkness. In the course of the investigation, "Okhranka" uncovered the assistance of this organization from the French government - "The Strasbourg Dispatch Case"

- 1915 The Russian Empire declares war on France

2/3

- 1915-20. World War, which led to the destruction of 3 Great Powers and the death of 80 million people. The Federation, which does not have parity in the ground forces, also suffered serious losses in the British fleet in the Baltic battle off the coast of Denmark, effectively withdrawing London from active hostilities, and with the defeat of Prussia on the German front, France was practically left one-on-one with the allied forces. The defeat of the feds was a foregone conclusion. (note - Italy did not participate in the war due to its split, and Canada was invaded by the Russians)

--1920 After a number of postponements, international negotiations took place, which resulted in the following generally accepted theses:

1) France, which supported the regicides and Prussia, which tried to seize free German lands during the conflict, is responsible for the outbreak of the War

2) France is obliged to immediately dismiss the government and dissolve the parliament responsible for the War

3) Britain recognizes the independence of India and Ireland proclaimed during the War, the "Mediterranean" also recognizes their sovereignty

4) Berlin undertakes to coordinate its international policy with the "Mediterranean" and accept their supervision

5) -6) England and France agree to the obligatory sale of part of their colonies to the winners

- ... but the further development of events, so far, is in question - perhaps in the manga itself it is revealed in the plot, but I find it difficult to find and check everything ...

However, judging by the information from the author's blog, there was a kind of "fascist turn", since a new dictatorial "Mediterranean Union" from Northern Italy, France and Iberia was formed in Western Europe, extending its power to the colonies of these. True, they are called "fascists" from 4 bundles of rods with axes on a red flag, symbolizing Spain, Portugal, France and Northern Italy, while in ideology they adhere to "neo-Yardism", a nationalist perversion based on the teachings of Tajal de Chardin. The essence of the ideology promoted by the Christian Socialist Party is that only Latin Catholics in their development and evolution can reach God, and such "progress" can be achieved only in the struggle against infidels, atheists and heretics, which automatically created a future conflict

After the War, Great Britain experienced a syndicalist revolution, due to which the monarchy's family was forced to flee to Canada - this and a number of other events led to the split and collapse of the British Empire.

You can post the explanation the author wrote but it doesn't make the scenario any more realistic. I'll say it straight up. Russia did not have the industrial capability from 1800-1930, to compete with western Europe militarily. Any wars Russia fought according to the alt-history would only weaken Russia and slow their industrialization.

Even today Russia is a backwards mess, they're about as threatening as North Korea. That means not threatening at all.

>Russia did not have the industrial capability from 1800-1930, to compete with western Europe
Then, in your opinion, Russia could not defeat the French Empire of Napoleon in 1812 and later

It's similar to how the USA managed to win against the Brits even though their military was painfully inferior on paper.
They had a dramatic advantage in fighting the war at home, in a country where they could retreat endlessly. In the case of Napoleon, the weather was also important.
The ability to project power away from home is precisely what's the problem here though.

Yes. Russia alone would never have beaten France. Napoleon was defeated through a decade of warfare and fighting dozens of different nations.

>It's similar to how the USA managed to win against the Brits even though their military was painfully inferior on paper.
This is American propaganda. Britain was fighting the USA, France, Spain and the Netherlands at the same time. Essentially the entire western coast of Europe was at war with Britain. Only filthy colonials consider the British as the superior side in this fight.

The point is that England would have won anyway if the USA were the size of the Netherlands.

Doubtful. The Dutch had already proven their ability to sperate from Spain in the eight years war, albeit with minimal assistance from the English. The Americas were always going to separate once war started, the distance was too great. The war was over the moment the rebels declared war.

I like alternative history but this just sounds too crazy,
Russia would have established puppet nations instead of expanding like this
no country can grow this large and keep all of its lands in check

>no G*rmany
Good
>Constantinople in Christian hands
Good
>no free Poland
Bad

>no Germany
Bad.
>Constantinople in Christian hands
Don't care.
>no free P*land
Good.

More Japs fantasizing of what could have been if the axis had won. Just get over it already and accept your shame chinks, instead of trying to rewrite history textbooks.

>no free Poland
based

>Линия Времени
What does that even mean?
