Can I watch this if my only experience with the mobage timeline is Mini Toji? I can't be assed to watch a billion translated youtube videos.

That's what I'm curious as well. I absolutely loved the Toji no Miko (legitimately close to a 10/10 to me lol) anime, but unfortunately never got in to the gacha game. I tried a while back but end it up uninstalling. I'll probably just install it again.

Sure, but you'll probably be very confused. It takes place a few months after the end of the anime, but you're also skipping everything story related that happened to the game characters. Some big things that already seem important are Mihono's aradama powers awakening, Yui double dosing on noro after getting mindjacked by Tagitsu, and ex-team member Hana still being hospitalized, which is why the new girl, Hirona, is coming in.
I expect it to basically be a chapter of the game story they've decided to animate rather than something to bring newcomers up to speed.
