>why do people say the ending is bad?
Because the ending is bad.

Edgy school shooter-kun was actually right about the aliens and all that LOVE iNTEREST-CHAN yelling at the end was awful.

Personally I hate the alien race being wiped out by the pride and hubris of it’s leader. It seemed like the story was heading towards a reconciliation, and we got to witness the alien children and babies knowing they’d all die. I also hated when the alien “gods” were discussing human hubris and they showcased various political figures. Reality isn’t that simple.

I agree it was annoying, but funny enough I found the love story parts genuinely touching. Between that and Gigant I fee like Oku might secretly want to be a shojou romance writer deep in his heart.

What was shit was the completely random scene after the battle ends that was basically just "LOL there is no God" out of fucking nowhere that seemed totally unconnected to anything.

why are the vampires such dindu nuffin??? why did they get away with everything??

The author forgot that plotline

not everyone can take the L when they get trolled

>Kurono's brother never gets mentioned ever again after being randomly introduced
>Oh right there are also vampires, that never gets addressed
>Last 30 chapters are that annoying bitch crying about Tae-Chan
>Oku tries to parallel how the humans treated the alien prisoners with how they were treated, but doesn't realise he lacks decent writing skills for that
>DUDE GOD DOESN'T EXIST AND HUMANS ARE WORTHLESS
Gantz had some high peaks, but it was far from a good series.

Asking why anything happens or didn't happen in Gantz is a fool's errand.

Gantz's biggest mistake was unironically expanding into what GANTZ was. It should've stayed about a kid being forced to fight alien monsters by some magical ball.

it depends on how you define good. it has 0 artistic merit but it's too damn fun for how bad it's written. Most guilty pleasure story ever.

It had to go somewhere. Endless rounds of fights would just peter out after a while.

>0 artistic merit

Nah, dem titties gave it merit.

>HURR DURR BLOODY ROYALE WITH AYYLMAOS

Reality is actually very simple
You are just small brain

vampire arc was blue balled halfway that's my only problem

That's the problem with GANTZ, it's only a pitch without climax. If you expected a satisfying end, then it's your own fault.

So you’re saying Hitler was right?

what a retarded take

Obviously

compared to the dragging clusterfuck that was the middle of the series the ending was a masterpiece.

Kurono's brother was a vampire and got decapitated later on tho.

So what did the vampires have to do with the monsters in gantz? They said they saw them as enemies but knew them all allies then betrayed them and then vampires just fight with the humans

anyone else find Italy status wiping out everyone very creepy? That was a scary one. Also I love when they get to the westerners shooting up heroin and smoking weed, and fucking while killing. Based American team.

Not bad, it just doesn't feel like an ending

Things that bothered me:
>Everything about Kurono's brother
>Vampires not amounting to anything
>Tae's insane plot armor
>Last invader was underwhelming.
>Too much Tae-chan and Kei-chan screaming
>No one giving a fuck about cherry
>Reika reincarnating as K2's mother, cucked in the afterlife
>the whole soul system not making sense in a purely materialistic world
>NO FUCKING EPILOGUE

The last arc wasn't that bad. I had fun times re-reading it in the last storytime. If anyone of you guys was there, it was a pleasure bros.

>If you expected a satisfying end, then it's your own fault.
No, it's the author's fault, you fucking retard. If he had no idea where to go he should've kept it short and vague instead of going full retard.
Overexplaining shit that did not need to be adressed in the first place ALWAYS ends up as a negative,
Should've made the entire gantz thing be some alien TV show and left it at that.

Similar to Prison school, it's easy to just sum it up as "ending is bad" and avoid going into specific details like how it dragged for too long, it was clearly aimless once X happened, the author didn't know how to expand the story/world/characters, plot/subplot X didn't get a conclusion, etc.

He actually is retard
