What, if anything, would make you drop a series? Lots of hate? Low ratings? Low views? A snipe? etc.

Based.
Do you guys go through your chapter comments? When that shit is 60-100+ of retarded arguments every chapter it gets old.
I mean what else could it be?
This. The only time I've dropped anything was because I just didn't like the manga anymore. Second most popular thing I've ever worked on, too.
>60-100+
I can easily read through 300-400+ comments in one sitting not that I would ever get that many on a chapter of mine.
Anyone got and tried BlamBot's new font (Nightmark)?
So...any d-d-drama?

If Nekojiru-TL user is here I've been finally working through Udon 2
First three threads are here, the rest are in the archive. I'll keep uploading them on here, but I can stick a zip up of the volume when it's done somewhere. I'll try to finish it up in about a week if I can keep on this pace, if not it'll be a bit longer.
There was the whole whitewashing thing in "I'm Not a Villainess!! Just Because I Can Control Darkness Doesn't Mean I'm a Bad Person!" (isekai, if you couldn't tell by the title). Almost 1k comments over two versions of a chapter in a day.
So they fixed her? What's the problem?
Turning her skin white and saying that it's a blessing implies that the white skin is superior to dark skin and therefore it's racist.
That's not racost, that's the truth
Well it doesn't mater anymore since they released the fixed version where her skin stays the same.
What's the best way to debind a manga for scanning? I have a heat gun and an iron but there's no guides available for using a heat gun to melt the glue of a manga.
>melt the glue of a manga
What? Also can't you just use the hairdryer?

It's worth it to make something like this unless you're only ever going to scan one thing, or don't want to keep the manga.
How do monkeys have the patience to MTL. I want to do an intentionally shitty release for the lulz, but ocring text again and again, using machine translators and editing the sentence to something logical 5x more time consuming than just typing whatever.
Would a hairdryer get hot enough?
So far I just have one manga on the chopping block and I bought two copies so this was intended to be disposable. Isn't there inherent benefits to scanning a debound manga?

You can put it in an auto scanner if you debind it, other than that, no.
That and you can eliminate the warping near the spine.
Yeah I was expecting to eliminate the gutter effect saving me many hours later in photoshop.
This isn't an issue with the scanners in the link I posted. You can check example scans but the glass flattens each page and the gutter is essentially nonexistant.
user that was going to work on this series, If you need help like cleaning/redrawing I can help with that. It's one of my favorite series. Sadly I do not know how to typeset nor translate from Japanese to English.
Also, if you're absolutely devastated by the posibility of the existance of any gutter or warping, even if it isn't noticeable, it's still not a problem.

If you can clean/rd, you absolutely should be able to typeset. Go through a tutorial and knock yourself out (you'll learn more from experience in any case).

While interesting that's not exactly the set up I want. I just want to know how to take pages out of a book I bought specifically to debind.
You want to release something intentionally shitty and are putting time to make it sound logical?
