It's the best Yokai show I've seen.
I like watanuki and Yuuko's relationship quite a bit.

Unironically one of my favorites

The OP is a classic

Kino paneling.

It's great and so is the manga.
I was initially bothered by the constant Sakura references, because I haven't read it yet, but they got better integrated into the story as time went on.
Even the constant manzai jokes got funnier over time; and anyone who's ever worked as a personal assistant or has been an apprentis can relate to Watanuki's experiences, at least in some fashion
Also Yuuko, is beyond beautiful, in each an every one of her outfits
The music is great all around

>manga
I remember the final arcs cross-referencing Tsubasa all the time, can't imagine marathoning either one as a standalone now without some kind of release order / timeline guide.

Don't read the last two volumes or you'll regret it

The proportions are really weird an hinder me watching this anime. This is perhaps the worst cherrypicked example, but still why is Clamp anatomy sometimes so weird. It reminds me of the 2002 Kanon example, some 2000s animations were really horrible. Most of my favorite anime are from the 2000s, but the era had sometimes terrible drawings. I'm not interested in the manga, but maybe I will check out the anime one day.

Who else is Sakura's clone here

Not underrated, forgotten

I love this show. I think about its themes almost every day. SOO fucking cozy. I wish some witchy woman would take me in and make me her man slave...

I just assumed it was like opposite to Chibi. Its just some really tall lanky people stylized

What does "alternative setting" mean?

It's an artstyle choice!
The manga's actually a little better for it, honestly

Is the manga timelines like this?

I can see why Watanuki wants to wait for her

>LEGS
That's all I can say

EXTREMELY lanky

I love Marudashi and Morodashi!!

Usually it's a parallel universe with "same" people doing different things.
May or may not involve interdimensional travelling and mcguffin delivery by xxxHOLiC cast.

Like imagine some post-apoc action series, it's the final battle and the protag is losing, suddently a portal appears and a lanky student hands over a superweapon capable of sealing the final boss.
Meanwhile in a fantasy romcom series a secondary character that looks exactly like aforementioned action protag finds a weird sealed box in a storeroom, suddently a lanky student takes that sealed box, pulls the aforementioned superweapon out of it and walks out into a portal.

>Best yokai show I've ever seen
Someone hasn't watched Natsume's Book of Friends, but yeah it's pretty great.

Yuuko san looking kinda disappointed there, lol.

>Someone hasn't watched Natsume's Book of Friends,
I've tried watching it
It feels just so bland compared to this series.

The manga is correctly appreciated as great.
The anime is correctly appreciated as bad.
There are no issues.

Tsubasa is about travelling through parallel worlds.
There are worlds that contain characters you've seen before (and will see again in other worlds), and there are worlds that you have seen before (though you'll have to find an event mismatch to determine if this is in fact the same world).
Tsubasa visits the actual xxxHolic world a number of times. Sakura is an alternative world version of Sakura from CCS (I'm not certain). The Chobits world is visited but it's not quite the same.

The only really connected stories are XXXHolic and Tsubasa, so read those together.
