Why do people call this a trainwreck, I thought it was good, not perfect but good enough

It's not a train wreck. Just parts of it. Like plenty of it becomes a rat fucked cluster fuck in later sections especially season 2 power levels, and people remember it as great because it had a catch op, and because it was the first anime they watched with a great ending

Geass sundays were a peak experience on Zig Forums, I don't think we'll ever experience that again...

It's dumb as fuck, it's also the most entertaining anime of all time

OP here, I never got to experience Geass sundays but I heard It was fun af and yea despite the pacing in R2 being all over the place Ill never get the same experience of the fight scenes with Zero theme music (spanish guitars and such, reminded me of playing last mission on Ace Combat Zero) from any other anime and yes the worldbuilding makes no sense but hey CC is hot af

It had it's flaws retards, it's neither a high IQ nor a low IQ series, but it's leaning towards the high IQ tier.
But overall, I wouldn't say it's smart since I've watched actual smart anime.
