Are you serious? The God of Highschool which is very recent.
YoI is good despite the gay.
ZLS is great.
JJK is great so far.
Shingeki no Bahamut (the first one).
Kids on the Slope, Hajime no Ippo: Rising, Yuri on Ice, Kakegurui, Inuyashiki and God of High School.
You didn't watch Inuyashiki?
>Gook In Highschool
>good animation
Kek. Awful directing and average animation.
MAPPA is shit and are a bunch of sellouts.
Madhouse had producers like Masao Maruyama and Yasuyuki Ueda who were able to bring in exceptional talent like Satoshi Kon and Hiroshi Hamsaki to make original shows where as after Maruyama left MAPPA, its just been accepting every job given to them and using the same pool of directors
Yes, it's average.
You have gotten used to trash like toei and you are now impressed by that.
>nothing to prove his point
Speaking of which
New Shingeki trailer when?
Madhouse had Satoshi Kon when he was alive and Yuasa during his peak, Mappa will never be able to hold a candle to that. They're not even comparable.
Again, you have gotten used to trash like Toei so you think that average animation is good.
Mappa has Ikuni, so I wouldn't count them out just yet. I'm looking forward to what Sayo Yamamoto does after YoI too. Fujiko Mine was quite impressive.
And Hosoda, Koike, Katabuchi, Osamu Kobayashi, Hamasaki, Masayuki Kojima, etc.
The point isn't that MAPPA doesn't live up to Madhouse's impossible standard, is that it's a straight up third rate trash factory.
>Gainax
So when did they do their last good animated series?
How is that relevant? Good animation is good animation no matter when it was made.
My bar for good animation will always be the same.
They crossproduced Zombieland Saga, which was pretty good.
>Mappa has Ikuni,
No, Ikuhara has his own studio (Lapintrack) and MAPPA barely even contributed to Sarazanmai despite their name being plastered all over it.
And after MAPPA let the YoI movie sink I wouldn't bet a dime on a future for Sayo at that studio.
And i knew something was strange when you autisticly started writing about animation - this post is about mappa, or better said, studios that have been animating a lot of series with better quality than other studios the last seasons
>comparing OVA animation to TV animation
Every time
Sarazanmai
OP said that MAPPA had good animation. I said they didn't.
Okay? How is that relevant? Again, good animation is good animation regardless of who made it, how it was made, or when it was made.
?
Maybe the problem is that anime is just shit nowadays, the old auteurs have retired and there is no one to repalce them.
Many of peak Madhouse directors were also independent who just collaborated with Madhouse.
>MAPPA let the YoI movie sink
Huh? It is still being worked on as far as I know.
>Rintaro
>Yoshiaki Kawajiri
>Satoshi Kon
>Katsuhiro Otomo
>Morio Asaka
>Hiroshi Hamasaki
>Tetsurou Araki
>Osamu Kobayashi
>Masaaki Yuasa
>Mitsuo Iso
>Mamoru Hosoda
>Takeshi Koike
How could any studio hope to live up to 2000s Madhouse?
Don't bother user, the bar is so low nowadays, people think Kimetsu looks good.
>Huh? It is still being worked on as far as I know.
Ahah, keep waiting.
Dezaki helped create Madhouse as well (though his more noteworthy work was with TMS and Mushi/Tezuka Productions)
