Kamina was nothing but a leech and an asshole to Simon. And Simon continues worshipping him despite literally digging himself out of his hole by himself.
An older brother isn't supposed to sideline his younger brother and kill himself to satisfy his ego. The whole show was pure retardation.

The last battle on second movie is absolute KINO

It's pretty good. Really nice visuals, solid pacing for the most part, fun action and generally very smooth presentation.

One of the best anime ever made by virtue of it having a tight plot, excellent soundtrack, interesting characters and stellar animation.

KlK was inspired directly by Cutie Honey, TTGL shares none of those inspirations. And the only gay addition to Imaishi/Nakashima-verse is Promare.

Pretty damn great. The second half started off as a slog but it really picked up again when they left Earth. The final battle is absolute kino from start to finish.

Not that user but this is amazing. It's like you somehow got the point of Simon's
arc and also missed it at the exact same time. He worships his brother because while he has potential he has no self-confidence and Kamina while having no potential or any real confidence had courage and initiative to try to do the things Simon wanted to but didn't believe he could, unaware that he could always achieve anything he wanted with or without Kamina until his epiphany it and became his own man. But here's the caveat: nothing would have started for him without Kamina pushing him forward the entire time. He would have still been the meek little kid digging holes day in and out for tiny scrapes of meat living in fear of earthquakes for the rest of his days if it weren't for his Kamina pushing him to do the thinge he always believed and knew he could. Simon recognizes this fact and is grateful to his brother for being the catalyst for his growth and also being the inspirational madlad the humans needed to start fighting back and reclaiming the surface.

Best mech series. Bar none. Aside from the hype and badassery it also has some sincere maturity and heart despite the whole BIGGER DRILLS wackiness that has stuck with me to this day.

Masterpiece.

How so? Not like people praise it like it's the second coming of christ or anything. Peiple mostly just enjoy it for what it is. It's got that DMC respect; its a fun, wacky ride with a ton of heart and while it doesn't win any awards or be one of those critically aclaimed series it has a decent sized but dedicated fanbase. Now, NGE, that's an overated show. It's a good show but it's celebrated everywhere like a cultural milestone spawned tons of spinoffs and merchandise and fucking house sized statues despite being, in my opinion, only an overall okay and sort of confused series.
