Because once you've seen one, you've seen them all.
It's the same slapstick humor, flat characters, over-reliance on external circumstances and temporary idiot balls for conflict and drama, and absolutely squat diddly character or story progression and investment.
And Waifufags = It’s a self-insert genre , This is Stupid-Nerd
>400x400 >it's actually 340x340 It's times like this that I want to go out and murder somebody.

What?

Cameron Russell
Yes

I don't care. I still watch it, and I also buy DVDs for the series I like the most.
Henry Robinson
It's a shame because they'll often have really cute characters who you want to see romance each other, but the situations are so bland and repetitive. Like even worse than American sitcoms.
I'll often end up reading like 50 chapters hoping it gets better, but there's only so many times you can read "whoops I accidentally fell into your boobs" and "whoops I accidentally saw you naked" without getting tired of it, especially when the story is just going nowhere.
Jack Williams
Shut up
Brayden Jenkins
maybe stick to your shoujo romcom shit retard >dude why don't i like stuff from this subgenre that doesn't target my demographic
John Baker
There are variations of it. The best one I've seen recently is Girly air force.
yo where the fuck is this image from? I swear I've seen it somewhere else, but every search I come up with takes me to moon runes
Juan Robinson
>anime retards calling each other retards i'll stick to /dbs/ thanks
Aiden Rodriguez
Harem is pathetic
Jack Robinson
as if dbs is any less trashy
Joseph Allen
Once you've seen one battle shounen you've seen them all. Once you've seen one kirara you've seen them all. Once you've seen one romcom you've seen them all. Once you've seen one isekai you've seen them all. Once you've seen one harem you've seen them all.
Anime is incredibly stale of you think about it. The good stuff is found in the (seinen) drama, psychological and adventure genres, plus the experimental stuff.
Ore.Imo.'s concept could have been amazing it hadn't the harem and self-insert protagonist.
Imagine that instead of what he was, Kyousuke was a foil to Kirino: outwardly he was a yankee-type character with decent grades but nothing spectacular, but actually lazy but brilliant who spends most of his time playing video games and being a misunderstood loner.
Kirino's his “perfect sibling” who works really hard and gets excellent marks due to sheer effort as a foil and contrast and then he discovers the eroge addiction.
It could be great, but instead they made him a self-insert and gave him a harem to lonely losers can feel less lonely by proxy.
Oliver Fisher
>ends up with all the girls dead/disappeared lmao
Dylan Johnson
No, self-insert wishfullfilment is, which Harem often is, but so is quite a bit of single-pairing romance and some harems aren't.
Uwa-Koi isn't some wish fullfilment plot; it's firstly about infidelity, and secondly all the dudes he sleeps with are complete sluts so it's not some implausible plot that they somehow all want his dick for no reason; they're fine with any dick.
Hunter Butler
I'm glad you're not a writer.
Jason Edwards
You seethe at the mere thought of an interesting male character in your romance.
got a friend that pretty much only watches harem shit, told me he'll watch and can enjoy pretty much anything purely based on the designs of the female characters. his favourite shit is neptunia. he refuses to read manga because he finds it too boring with lack of sound, movement and colour. is there any hope for this fucking loser? could i fix him?
sorry, wasnt sure, i just know that he loves and is nearly always watching some harem shit and neptunia is his favourite thing
Jason Torres
I like the same stuff as your friend but also enjoy a lot of other genres. Must suck to not enjoy almost every genre. I’ve read about 50 manga and its not as enjoyable as anime to me.
Evan Jones
That sounds amazing and just like me until you said Neptunia. Fuck that shit I'll never watch some all-girls shit.
Henry Miller
honestly same, what's the appeal of an all-girls cast? the whole world feels soulless to me at that point, feels like complete pandering to waifufags
