So anons, in Arc 6 Chapter 81:
>『賢者』と『剣聖』、そして『神龍』がそれぞれ知恵や力、志を試すために。
>The Sage tests for wisdom, the Sword Saint for strength, the Dragon for willpower
>Wisdom
The problem is, Subaru from either Arc 1 Chapter 1 or Arc 6 Chapter 83 could solve the first trial. It is not even testing any kind of wisdom or life insight Subaru has gained throughout the story , but rather an identity verification tool. So, is Flugel trying to ensure only "Natsuki Subaru" can enter the libraries, or "any person from the Earth who happens to have such astronomy knowledge"?
>Strength
If this tower is really the tower for Subaru, wasn't the founder aware of the fact that Subaru is not strong in combat? If what Shaula said is correct, such that the existence of the fifth rule is for the purpose of cheating, what is the use of Reid? If Subaru/the candidates would cheat inevitably, why were trials set up to test their strength/willpower? Considering Rey would run into Reid in every fucking loop, can we say that Reid is rather a guardian than an examiner?
>Willpower
If a person is able to pass the trial of Reid and enter 1/F, he/she presumably should also be able to fight or even defeat Volcanica, or at least be qualified as having "strength", just like how Emilia would eventually get to the middle pillar despite bitchslapped by Volcanica. What aspects of willpower is Emilia lacking at the moment? And again, if this tower is really the tower for Subaru, wasn't the founder (Flugel) who personally also was an amnesiac aware of the fact that no matter what state Subaru is in, he should always have enough willpower?

Or to put it in another way, what did the sealing trio expect of the person/people solving all three trials?

Technically Julius didn't win his fight but he showed he was a worthy warrior.

>Or to put it in another way, what did the sealing trio expect of the person/people solving all three trials?
to follow the keikaku just as was in Fugel's proto gospel or Satella time shenanigans

And I don't understand why Tappei said with Otto Arc 6 would be easier. With Otto Subaru would not open the book of Reid, meet Rui and draw the attentions of the turdgoblins, and letting Reid possessing the fragile body of one of them so that Julius could win.

I think the way we think of Flugel is wrong, just like how amnesiac Subaru thought of Arc 1-5 Subaru. Tappei is making this pretty clear, maybe Flugel is not that wise as we think.

It's the amnesia arc part he'd notice Subaru being weird and slap him.

post Rem pics until she STAND UP

>Or to put it in another way, what did the sealing trio expect of the person/people solving all three trials?
When you lay it out like that it sounds like they wanted a typical isekai Kirito.

>Otto is easy mode
Good thing Emilia wasn't in charge of the wisdom one.

Any link to this short story?

The obvious one.

Ice from witch cult is working on the translation for it at the moment.

Obviously Reinhard but less retarded

Otto would ask the birds what's up and it would spoil the entire plot and the eagles would fly them up to mount doom.

If the second trial is "getting the approval of Reid", then I think the trio did not expect somebody stronger than Reid?

Do you have the raws? I just want to skim through it and know what it is about in general

Like I said I guess they wanted somebody worthy not neccesarily uber powerful.

So, what's the over/under on 12 year-old Priscilla being less retarded than Emilia?

I do not, unfortunately.

Then it's strange as I said . If the trial is not that impossible to pass, there does not have to be the fifth rule for Subaru to cheat.

The handprints might suggest they expected multiple people, got to see what they're about. The wisdom test is something ONLY somebody from Earth would know(it seems Al doesn't really have much memory of his pre-isekai'd days) so yeah it might be intended for a group led by somebody from Earth.

>something ONLY somebody from Earth would know
Is it "somebody from Earth" or "Natsuki Subaru" that they want?

Either him or somebody who fits the mold, it makes me wonder about Al, maybe he tried to go into the tower and his memory loss is because he failed?

The question is whether the first trial is really just a trial for people knowing Astronomy on Earth or a firewall to ensure only "Natsuki Subaru" can gain access to the library.

You would need to know about stars. Since that's a fairly narrow skillset it's hard to say if it's for specifically him or not. Flugel himself seems to have star autism so provided he isn't Subaru in some sense through weird magic shit he could just be using his hobbies and it happens to work out in Subaru's favor.

Japanese writers seem to have star autism in general.

We still dont know and unfortunately Tappei has kept us far away from any answers or even hints in the last chapters he released this week

It remains uncertain I'm afraid, so far it's clear that, it was set up for somebody from Earth with certain knowledge of astronomy. Not sure how common is that knowledge in Japan, but Subaru's own name is related to that for one.

Reposting summary anons chapter 85 summary for those who missed it.
