Mecha isn't a dead genre but FMP is a dead series.

Kokoro was such a huge slut and such a huge bitch that everyone hated mecha afterwards simply because she exists.

Abysmal bait image. All of the series on the left have much more combined influence than the ones on the right. Fuck, SAO alone has had more influence than anything on the right put together.

There are also more good series on the left (thermae, log horizon) than right (just thunderbolt)

So you're saying that mecha is shit and we need more isekai?

>Oh look, a new Getter show
>It looks like shit

>There is 0 mecha this season
There are two. There were five in spring.

Geez, it's been 6 years since we got cross ange, fucjing sunrise just crank up some retarded mecha show already and we'll definitely watch it.

>Was darling and franxx the last mecha?
it wasn't really mecha in the first place. hell it was barely anything

Sad. I was hoping for more big names to write original mecha shows.

I feel like you must be omitting something to get so few isekai but you even have fucking endride there, I really thought there would be more than that

Counting iron man as mecha is bullshit though, I bet there are a few others where you are stretching it as well

>Mecha is dead
Good

The first Hathaway's Flash Movie was supposed to come out this summer, but due to Covid it got postponed.

This need updating for current season

There are only about two or three isekai shows a season despite how much of a fuss you faggots make.
The Japanese definition of mecha is much broader than giant robots. Using it here is disingenuous though. Still I don't think Shinkalion is on there so it's not like it's actually a full list anyway.

Of course modern mecha series don't have influence the genre has been popular for like 60+ years
In reality all anime has been massively influenced by the mecha genre it practically invented half of the conventions and tropes that are common in manga and anime to this day decades ago and there is almost no way for any genre to ever be as influential as mecha has been
Isekai/vrmmo is not anything new despite becoming a popular trend recently all of those series on the left don't have any more combined influence they are all just copying hugely popular series that did it 20 years ago like Inuyasha, Spirited Away, .Hack, Digimon, HxH Greed Island etc... It only seems like SAO is influential because it merely spawned a second wave by drawing attention to a genre that was already well established
