Whatever Alucard has. That's pimpenry.

when i was a teen this show convinced me alchemy was real. please tell me im not the only one so i wont feel stupid

what is nuclear transmutation

I only watched FMA(Brotherhood) recently because I read that there was good romantic development between Ed and Winry
I ended up really enjoying the anime itself and Ed x Winry interactions.

world trigger

Another example: jutsu in Naruto, with its elaborated chakra system.

I mean, aesthetically, the trapars from eureka seven. Functionally, in terms of magic systems that function within a ruleset and allow characters to express their individuality within that ruleset, anime kind of has nothing. Anime has good power systems, where everyone's abilities fundamentally work differently from each other's even when they're nominally related, but anime has nothing on the level of Sanderson or Malazan or Dune, etc. FMA's alchemy is a joke of a system that people continually suck the dick of for no good reason.

well technically it was real

Alchemy and Nen are both great. Chakra&jutsu from Naruto ain't that bad either but it's horribly underutilized in the series itself.

are you some thirdworlder? how old were you when you watched it?

I don't expect Mistborn-level magic systems out of anime, but I think it's cool when they go out of their way to explain it at least.
>FMA's alchemy is a joke
It's one of the most fleshed out in my opinion.

Based WTchads, it probably the best technically handled battle shonen currently running.

You're alone here. Alchemy was a bullshit pseudoscience like homeopathy.

I like Nen.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei incorporates physics into its magic system.

Not the one you posted.

right up until they said "screw the rules we wizards now"
piece of shit anime
that bit in your webm where he breathes fire harder and it becomes white hot flame is the sickest shit tho

FMA's alchemy honest to god. Most anime magic is "scream louder and you'll instantly be stronger." Alchemy is the only one where you actually need to study, train, or come up with a sudden spark of genius in order to advance.

madoka's gets an honorable mention.
user, I...
basic bitch elemental shit. the handsigns are gay, too. i cringed when fire force pulled that gimmick out.

>sudden spark of genius
more like asspull lmao

>more like asspull lmao
So just like every shounen?

But it's not me claiming FMA is somehow different and fanboying over it?

Alchemy is real. Its now called chemistry and we used to make a bunch of shit, but you don't clap your hands together like a retard.

And it's not me either

The Death Note has its own "magic system" to call it that way, Light used them in quite clever ways.

The Nen System from Hunter x Hunter is literally perfect for a shounen setting. Problem is people who have it in setting don't actually go for broke like Anons here would have.

I also like the Breath System and Swordsmanship of Kimetsu no Yaiba, but the effects need to be real.

Orphen

Literally no competition against this one

I known this one is not the best but I really like it

It's too bad the anime only got the one proper season plus some ovas.
Pretty great series
