Not much but there's hints to show he did care more than he didn't, I always thought it was implied that sasuke thought getting closer to sakura made him weaker.

He only gave a shit about Naruto by the end, the rest was just so Sakura's entire character wouldn't be pointless and for new gen cashgrab

He most likely mean the scenes where he broke Zaku's arm in the forest and the Gaara fight, but he's too stupid to tell apart plain fellowship for "romantic interest".

I don’t think any monologue can override the fact he tried to kill him without giving a shit or hesitation. He just didn’t care about anyone and didn’t deserve and of the kindness he got in the end. Series would’ve been 10 times better had nardo used a wind powered attack and killed him.

He also was able to stop the seal during the Chunin matches because he didn't like Naruto and Sakura worrying about him so that's not unique to Sakura

My point was just that none of that was really romantic, it's just the only thing the ship has to "stand on" so you're saying it has to be in order to justify the pairing.

It's a good thing there's a part of the fight where Sasuke closes his eyes and undoes his Sharingan when he was supposed to give Naruto a fatal blow. He hesitated.

Nothing is more cringe than when people try to unironcally argue that sasuke and naruto are gay, Pretty sure naruto didn't like sai at first since he thought he was gay / weird and he only ever showed attraction to women.

It's the same for most ships, naruto didn't show any real attraction to hinata the entire series before the movie. Still I'm really happy naruto ended with her instead of sakura.

I don’t get why people still think he still gives a shit about shitsuke much less has romantic feelings for him when he has a wife and two kids he’s spent far more time with that he cares about much more. Unlike shitsuke they actually deserve his love and kindness so I’m glad he moved on and didn’t care if shitsuke fucked off for years in the woods or whatever and died. He wasn’t gay he just didn’t want to fail and go back on his word that’s his whole character. He doesn’t give a damn about his old “friends” now that he is beloved and has kinder friends and a loving family.
