Zig Forums, can we finally admit that the shonen genre has finally evolved? no longer considered manga for meatheads that are too dumb to understand a complex story, but a genre capable of combining the ferocity of combat with the gentle, intellectual storytelling only found in such novels at Finnegans Wake and To The Lighthouse.
It's a blessing knowing that shonen is no longer just generic tales that we've read a thousand times already.

The stuff you put in your pic would suggest that it just went from high effort to low effort with a tinge of pseudo-intellectual pretentiousness to make people who were too dumb or lazy to even understand something like One Piece in the first place, feel like they're reading something more complex or intellectual when it's quite the opposite. I think so but I think it's stupid to go all the way back to OP, DBZ, and Naruto. Obviously shonen has evolved since then it's been literal decades. Instead compare the early 2010 era to now. BnHA, BC, Boruto, Sam 8 lol, all these shitty series trying to copy the big three. Dragging out the story, terrible MC, etc.
But now it's Kimetsu, JJK, CSM, and sure go ahead and lump firebunch in there. It's not as bad as everyone says it's just stumbling a bit. Kimetsu's movie is doing great and it's season season will be crazy, JJK got a great adaptation and hopefully CSM follows. New alliance looks great
