While I do love Tokyo ghoul, the people posted in the OP have been in the business for decades.
Kayden Robinson
Awesome, she's definitely on par with all the greats.
Asher Phillips
Mao anime when?
Jaxson Morgan
Rinne got its anime three years in and the first season was two consecutive cours, so I assume Mao will be the same. Right now it barely has material for over one cour.
Also they'll definitely wait until after Yashahime is finished regardless of which studio makes it.
Adam Parker
maybe they can give her a clue on how to end a series well
Wyatt Cox
Gag series don't have to end conclusively. Her non-comedy works had proper endings.
Joseph Barnes
I am happy for her. She definitely deserves it.
Jose Jackson
Mermaid Saga didn't
Ayden Howard
Where do i start? Ranma? Inuyasha?
Nicholas Murphy
It didn't end badly either. :^)
Isaac Sullivan
Hope Yuta and Mana cameo in Mao
Austin Murphy
About 10 more chapters and we'll have enough for two cours
Blake Reed
UA or Ranma
Jayden Brown
I love most of her works, characters and stories are pretty neat
her way to end series tho..... never been a fan of her finales
Nolan Gray
Maison Ikkoku

You can broadly divide her works into three categories, though each work in a genre is its own thing in themes and execution.
There are the comedies, Urusei Yatsura, Ranma and Rinne. They all have elements of romance, but the purely comedic shenanigans are just as important (aliens in UY, martial arts in Ranma, ghosts in Rinne).
There's Maison Ikkoku which is a more dramatic romance with a clearly defined progression, the comedy it dabbles in is secondary. The short series One Pound Gospel also falls under this category.
Then there are the more serious shonen/adventure series, Inuyasha and Mao. Again, they have romance elements but they are mainly about action (Inuyasha) or mystery (Mao). There's also the short series Mermaid Saga, but it was never finished.
I think Ranma is probably the best starting point as it has plenty of action like her serious works while keeping the comedy she became famous for (and without being as surreal as Urusei Yatsura). There's nothing I wouldn't recommend if you end up liking her works.

>hacking and got an award no wonder the manga industry is a fucking joke

while Ranma is one of my favorites of all time.... fucking Happosai made my blood pressure rise and made me fucking mad holy shit what a turd of a character.... sadly Rumiko LOVES that archetype and repeats it in most of her subsequently works
Lucas James
quick rundown? if it's so bad then why does it keep happening?
Henry Bennett
Congrats Rumiko!
Happosai is one of my favorite characters. He's great. He, Tendo and Gendo are fucking hilarious. It's just a faggot who gets triggered by pervert characters. Happosai is an unashamed pervert.

Seethe Narutard
Samuel Harris
>and repeats it in most of her subsequently works I can't think of a direct equivalent in Inuyasha, Rinne or Mao, as in the pervert who keeps getting away with it. I hope you're not equating Miroku to him.
