What are your thoughts on the ten year plan for more content? Any speculations on what might come?
Code Geass Thread
I think CGeass and R2 are fucking masterpeices, entertainment-wise.
Resurrection was nice.
Hope they don't shit this up.
Someone in a forum claimed that Code Geass was good, but 70% of all anime are better. That was a long time ago and I watched many anime since then. Nowadays I say that Sturgeon's law applies to anime and think Code Geass belongs to the good anime. Really what are these 70% anime which are better than Code Geass?
More soup.
Hopefully more worldbuilding and a sense of things changing as time moves forward.

If it's anything like Akito and Resurrection were then it will all be disappointing trash. The original TV show was a perfect accident, an unintentional masterpeice. Unfortuantly you can't just do that again and CG is just another failed attempt to strike it big on corporately motivated reboot.
Akito was just an unenjoyable mess and Ressurection failed to capture the feel of the original show at all. Retarded plot that required a retcon just to make it work, they tried to give way too many characters from the original show too much screen time, CGI mechs. Every time they try to explore Geass and expand it's lore it turns further and further into an incomprehensible mess of bullshit. Sunrise can suck a dick.
I've seen a comment on /m/ that something new has been trademarked in June of this year, but I can't find it rn.
Do you have any idea what it was?
I agree. Geass was essentially going to be a one-shot mecha anime Sunrise always made, but the sudden popularity (Death Note fans migrating I guess?) made it into a franchise overnight. There just wasn't any plan where to go next and Akito and the spinoff mangas like Oz were really stretching it IMO.
None, just that it was trademarked. I can't even find the post anymore. I think it was on /m/ but I could be wrong, maybe it was here on Zig Forums
THERE'S STILL SOUP
Found it, it was >>>m/19077185 in the Getter Robo Arc thread
I liked Lelouch's first Gundam. His second doesn't look that good.

Judging from the movie: shit.
>second is not that good
On the contrary, I really like the Shinkiroh mostly because I'm a sucker for big BURESUTO FIYAH chest cannons and transforming robots
The series had a conclusive ending that left an impact. Even the people who vehemently insist that R2 is a mess because reasons also insist that the ending was pure gold. It was not supposed to continue, which is why they had to redo the continuity. Geass itself was not supposed to have this extensive detailed lore, it was mysterious and ambiguous because the Geass itself was not the point if the series. But in Akito and Ressurection everyone had a fucking geass, there is blue geass even though the blue was supposed to be Jeremia's robo Geass canceller, there is a yellow geass in Ressurection. Some Geass incarnation woman is in cahoots with the president of France. The sword of Akasha is still having some weird affect on the world. I can't even remember all the details of any of that shit because it's such uninteresting mumbo jumbo.
They should have just let it be.
I just want them to return to episodes rather than movies. The pace of Gayass is much more suited for Tv.
>also insist that the ending was pure gold
That was before the movie came out and people started pretending otherwise.
Not gonna happen, they're gonna milk the last drop of money from us Geassdopes just like they did that for UC Gundam
The movie is a different timeline. Those people are either retards or, no they are just retards.
WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW
The post credit scene of Resurrection left me more afraid of the sequels being trash but we'll see.
>the Geass itself was not the point if the series
Uhh, what? The series literally revolves around the Geass cult being the main antagonists. The universe itself was pretty well explored, including geographical politics and the whole Geass lore. No idea what made you think otherwise.
>perfect accident, an unintentional masterpeice
how did they do it ? or was it because i was 15yo ? i just can't explain why i love CG so much
I rewatched it in the past year and it holds up in the same kind of retarded brilliance I remember it having.
That's not why anyone likes it though. They like it because of the charisma of characters and the drama between them. Geass affects their interactions but the show is not "about" the Geass. Nobody ever cites that as something they like about the series when they mention it, the Geass lore or the super eye powers.
I agree, and I watch it at least once a month
20 hours a month well spent, my friend.
