Of all the series I've seen in Jump, CSM fans are the most pretentious. They are the first that unironically mention peak post-modern shonen and try to put down other series.
I've read the series and there's nothing of value that makes it some top dog of Jump. As if it doesn't belong in the magazine because it's too good for it. Also I've seen to many Fujimoto can do no wrong followers. Fuck the art is not even that good.
What do these fans see in this series that makes it better than what it really is?
>CSM >Has shit art >incoherent story >shitty shock value and gore >better
I had a good laugh user.

Because most of them are either underage, newfags or Zig Forumstards and have only read Fire Punch or Berserk and watched FLCL before. I liked the series up to a certain point and keep up out of morbid curiosity but yes, the fanbase is insufferable.

Imagine thinking CSM is about gore, shock value or some overarching story when it's just story about growing up and love.
>Doesn't follow shonen cliches >incoherent story Every time
Xavier Allen
>CSMfags >Unironically believe that Shonen is a genre
funny

>CSM >Has shit art >incoherent story >shitty shock value and gore
Implying JJK doesn't fit this to a T.
Tyler Hernandez
filled to the brim with newfags and crossboarders since fire punch was spammed everywhere just read the chapters and don't pay attention to the threads, shounen threads are bad at the best of time

For someone who's read a bunch of shounens personally I think it's the best in that it's not even that much of a shounen. I've gotten really tired of all the shounen tropes, from power of friendship to characters never dying to overly detailed power explanations to "I have outwitted your plan, fool!" You can only see this happening so many times before you start groaning because of how lame it is. Chainsawman does pretty much none of this, and when it does stray into doing this it's usually some expectation subverting stuff. To me it's like a breath of fresh air.

CSM fans on Zig Forums arent as bad as the ones on reddit because holy fuck are they bad...
Makimafags are still garbage tho
Jack Gray
>DBZ, HxH, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Fire Force, JJK, etc. don't all have obvious similarities that would allow you to group them into the same genre. ??
Ian Smith
If the game had a 2D fighting game what kind of playstyles would the characters have? Denji and Shad would probably be straightforward rushdown unga characters. And regular Aki with Future could work as a more counter-reliant one. But which ones would be the mandatory grappler and projectile spammer?

We really didn't need another thread. We needed another thread with bait OP even less.
idk they're insanely annoying and make you want to like CSM less. CSM is good but vastly overrated by the retard contrarians on this board who need to feel like they have some patrician taste
Connor Reed
Demographic does not equal genre. The genre of these series is Action Adventure and Fiction. The demographics that it is targeted to is shonen, which literally means young man or adolescent. So yes, these series are similar in that they are targeted to the same age group, but they may vary in genre. The target group is also why they have similar themes and characters. They write to appeal to their audience

>Why is this fanbase so fucking pretentious?
because it's a meme manga that was taylor-made for reddit
Bentley Martin
I miss them, I just want SoL with them eating, drinking and playing video games, cute Angel is guest star from time to time
Joseph Butler
>CSM fans are the most pretentious Because is the best shonen currently running in Jump
Kevin Thomas
>taylor-made It's always funny to me that the majority of people I see shitting on CSM have trouble with basic english and forming coherent sentences. But muh reddit boogeyman.
This is the same as saying Young Adult Fiction. The overlying genre is Fiction, but the subgroup to which it is targeted to is young adults. Look at "Battle Shonen" The genre primarily is action, but the group is still directed to Shonen. In the same way that YA fiction is not a genre, but a subgroup, Battle Shonen isnt one either.

>CSM >incoherent story Not shitposting here, how fucking stupid and monkeybrained do you have to be for CSM to not make sense? Are you ok, user? Maybe stuff with words is too much for you.

>As if it doesn't belong in the magazine because it's too good for it. This is literally true though
