Anyone else prefer LGBT romance manga to hetero romance?
Idk why but good shoujai manga ALWAYS gets me in the feels. I'm a happily married man but when it comes to looking for a romance manga that sparks my thirdt for mangs, Girlfriends always does it for me. I don't care too much for straight yuri porn. There has to be a decent buildup and full blown confession. Any other weirdos out there like me?

99% of gay manga is just low tier fetish baits of different kinds. yaoi is just rape porn, and yuri is just "muh purity" garbage. the 1% that isn't catering to the low brow fetish fags is usually extremely basic romance, and the few special ones focus on actual gay romance and add something new to the formula.

I love how you claim this when the manga in OP's pic probably has more straight romances and characters which are in straight relationships than there is yuri content, and it's still one of the most beloved yuri manga out there

I feel like people are always less critical of works involving actors or settings they aren't familiar with. It's like the Big in Japan phenomena where Western groups achieve success in Japan that they don't elsewhere, because of a different set of criteria for enjoyment/popularity. That being said, as a straight guy I feel alone in saying that I don't enjoy yuri romance.

But I will say, there was one cross dressing manga that was a decent 5/10. Cant remember the name too well. I think it was Boku no Hentai or something.

Also has males and hetero relationships. Of course the main focus isn't usually going to be het romance and males because that's not what people are here for.
And by the way, I don't know why you seem to hate Girl Friends in particular. If you don't like the plot that's fine and your opinion, but personally I love reading drama between the romance parts, and it's not like Morinaga deceived the reader since she told the us in the very same chapter about the fact that Akko didn't get it on. And shoving everyone who likes it into some arbitrary group is the real cringe here.

It was really good in the beginning but its dropped off super hard since the wider cast got introduced,
i felt that way too, but when rereading it, it was much better. I felt the slower pacing when the side characters got involved was a lot more enjoyable when you werent waiting a week per chapter
