I wonder when pre-2010s anime threads will become a thing.

The shift from the 90s to the 2000s in anime was a lot more noticeable because they shifted to digital coloring and animation. Not so much the shift from the 2000s to the 2010s

I think the shift in story/writing quality was more noticeable between the 2000s and the 2010s.

I really like the vibrant colors of X, but on several ocassions the animation was utter shit.

BluRays soon, so can't wait to watch it again.

Just finished Capt. Tylor.
Was fucking shit. God how I hate "accidental / retarded genius" cliche.
What a fucking imbecile.

Echi fap bait from 90s has better animation than major productions now.

Not really? The only real shift was that the already present storylines were just distilled even further into !Eva, !Tenchi, etc., which were just distillations of stuff rom the 80's like !Ideon, !Ranma, etc.

story and writing quality is and always will be subjective, while it's an undeniable fact that the 90s was a transitory period for production materials. pre 00s threads might as well be "pre-fully digital production" threads save for a few exceptions and the fact that it's a retarded name. I think for that reason pre 00s threads will be around even when we're as far from 2010 as we are from 00 now

don't have much pre 00s I'm watching now, except for Nuku Nuku. Think I'm going to pick up Bubblegum Crisis or Dominion Tank Police. or maybe get around to finishing Dallos, but honestly I found it pretty fucking boring

man, sanpei shirato really hated dogs

Why is it so hard to get a complete Arslan adaptation. Even the newer series didn't get very much further than than the OVA.

Did anyone else watch What's Up, Mechadoc? It was comfy.

I've been going through it pretty slowly but I like it.

Looking through Jajanken (that site that lists the toc rankings for every single Jump issue), it's fascinating how little we in the west know about pre-80's Jump.
There's tons of stuff I can't find anything on, like "Manga Drifters", even though it lasted for half the 70's.
It's also strange how few manga from Jump during that period got anime adaptions.
