To an extent. She was important to the plot, reasonably involved in the action, and at times took the initiative and made her own decisions. That's more than can be said for some female leads. The lack of speech was pretty limiting, and her circumstances didn't really lend themselves to character development so that kind of puts a cap on how good she can be considered. Still, she ticks off a fair number of the boxes.
