Is it over Dolphin Bros? Is there no way to SURVIVE?
Is it over Dolphin Bros? Is there no way to SURVIVE?
Is it getting axed? It was just starting to pick up
The axe isn't confirmed but the Amazon pre order numbers for vol 1 are really low
>pre order
user, it's already out, it's selling 4 times worse than both Roboco and Magu-chan. It's the loser of this round, it's gonna be axed for sure.
Doesn't matter
Maybe they wont axe it in near future, because Moriking and Bokuben will end soon
What are the odds it starts doing better now that the story is actually picking up? Is it too late?
I really REALLY fucking hope this doesn't get axed.
If this gets axed I hope he goes and solos it or moves to another jump publication, or goes to a different publisher entirely.
This manga feels so damn good, it surpassed my already high expectation I had for it and keeps getting cooler and cooler. The art is really good, and the atmosphere is phenomenal. It's like sea yotsuba but koiwai and jumbo switched roles and are hardcore cool action fantasy cops
Don't fret, that entire batch is getting axed in a year or two.
I really hope Magu-chan lives long enough for a saturday morning cartoon adaption. It's got this instant marketability about it.
Magu isn't that good but merchandising would kill it profit wise because of magu
*nosebleed*
Anyway, how is it doing?
It will LIVE

Lolno, it's just another case of a couple(?) of anons latching on to a new axebait and hoping it'll survive, just like BoneColfag
Guys I have zero proof but even thought things look grim I think this will survive at least for a little while. I think it will at least reach 45-50 chapters
I mean, it's definitely better than Hungry Marie and that lasted 4 volumes, and there are also other axebait that are definitely dying first (Moriking, AB, homo vamps).
Tamura's editor should've proposed this manga for Weekly Young Jump not WSJ
BonerCollection didn't even have chapter dumping thread after few weeks
>If this gets axed I hope he goes and solos it or moves to another jump publication, or goes to a different publisher entirely.
This is pure delusion user, don't hold hope for any of that to actually happen. For your own sanity.
>Tamura's editor should've proposed this manga for Weekly Young Jump not WSJ
Are you retarded
This will not outsell AB
I still think AB will die first since it's older. I wish it'd survive a bit longer though, at least until its anniversary
>45-50 chapters
>Sub Sam8 run
That's a more reasonable objective, and it could very well happen if everything after it fails harder than it (Phantom, Oath, Build King, that last one in the mall) so it's a freaking huge IF. But with that kind of initial sales there is almost no hope for significant improvements for the series, it's already on borrowed time, so now the question is just "how much".
Did he even make a one shot or was this just straight up serialized? BEELZEBUB was a one shot, I don't think Hungry Marie was. How come they've given him series twice in a row without gauging interest with a one shot
Are there no instances of a manga not really being popular but picking up in later chapters? Regardless the best thing for this series is to survive. The longer rit runs the better developed it will be and hopefully Tamura can get his shit together
His veteran status will give him more wiggle room, I see this going 45-50 as well if it doesn't get a decent boost from the latest chapter
People keep calling him a veteran but he barely is. Beelzebub was decent but was very hit or miss in sales. It got an anime yet the manga never got released in English which is usually a sign that jump/viz doesn't care about it. Psyren which doesn't have an anime got it's entire manga printed in english
Hungry Marie TANKED. I don't see how one alright series and one mega flop makes you a veteran
KnY and AA are fairly recent examples of soso debut, but even them had 10k for their first volume, and Dolphin is clearly not reaching that milestone. Anything could happen, but I'm not holding my breath.
How much was Dolphin
