Why do people hate :re so much? I finished it yesterday and really enjoyed it.
Why do people hate :re so much? I finished it yesterday and really enjoyed it
because it's bad
It went down hill after arimas you know what
>stops being a centipede and becomes an angelghoul
Damn that's gay, glad I stopped reading around chapter 78 back in 2016.
Because late :Re it's pretty shit compared to the original and it's first half, is like a whole different manga.
Even Ishida Sui said that he got depressed and had to get his shit together to end it, otherwise it would have been in an indefinite hiatus
It does has genuine flaws, some of them quite severe and it had to face challenges the first part didn't. Actually resolving plotlines instead of only setting them up and driving towards optimistic conclusion instead of falling constantly into tragedy pit. For people who got off to p1 edge and its freedom to give Ls to mc-kun that's a drastic change. Basically, they're pic related. Beyond that, the first part is ridiculously overrated.
Never read Re so can't comment on this specific case but Zig Forums (and people in general) tend to shit on series for singular or even sometimes petty reasons even when a series still has many other strengths.
Pic related
I don't hate it but it's really lacking compared to the first manga.
It took a nosedive after Arima's death and the final arc was just really chaotic and rushed. You could tell the author just wanted to be done with it.
What the fuck was his last form design even based on with those lame flying sword shields?
Reading it in one go is actually better, people just wanted more awnsers that in the end got in the air like what happened to Eto? Did she sudenly had a heart stop or something?, lots of stuff was rushed by the end but i still enjoyed it a lot.
A kakuja knight
Does this fucker even age at this point, or he's so inhuman he's stuck in twink mode forever?
Do you not see how his soul was sucked out of him
He ate a shit ton of humans, did you forget how Yoshi aged 40 years in 16 after V? And he is just 30 in that one too, being mostly happy and comfortable in your life does reflect on you.
>An manga artist described as "the creator of a huge mega hit" will start a new manga series in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine next year, it's not revealed who that could be.
Could it be....?
Besides the fact that it dragged a little bit too long towards the end (no surprise since the author mentioned that he wanted to end it earlier with Dragon and MC dying), I enjoyed :re overall more than TG.
Don't think it's him, but he will eventually return. I can't wait for the day when all the old clownposters etc will return to celebrate his comeback, because deep down Zig Forums has always been tsundere
Am I the only one who thinks of pic related when I see that panel?
After Arima khs the story was 90% really shit and 10% some of the most entertaining shit i've seen in manga
Did you see the characters he posted? I assume they're going to be in his new series. Aside from that he's been deafeningly silent the past few months.
>Did you see the characters he posted?
Which ones? Also, where did you get this information from?
It felt lifeless, Also too many fucking characters every other chapter I was being dumped 20 more people to remember and none were unique. At least with HxH's political arcs each character has there own unique motive but it was just "Kill all ghouls" or "Doves bad!" for Re. The The quinx got to much focus also they were boring.
The clowns were fucking stupid would have been alot better without them playing 4d chess with everyone. Washu clan and Reze shit was fucking stupid. Just alot of stuff that didnt need to be added in mainly.
>ely and tokio
His Twitter account. You didn't know he announced he was coming back?
another retard typing nonsense, he stopped enjoying writing manga halfway through TG, not TG:RE
he means where did you get the bessatsu information from, retard, you're just spouting nonsense
I got it from my uncle who works at Kodansha, duh.
>it's all but confirmed that his old editor and him weren't on good terms
>also ended his long-term relationship with him who works in Young Jump
>would be stupid if he went for another weekly series again, so it's even less likely that he would return to YJ
>already stated back in april that he's started working on a new manga
>next year is also when Jack jeane will be released
It's 90% him
I still find his rants about his editor hilarious. He hated the fucker.
Do Shueisha have monthly magazines?
I don't know, but bessatsu is monthly
And he had every reason to do so. In the beginnimg, when he asked him to get more creative freedom, he surprisingly granted it. But then the series became more popular and towards the end of TG he wouldn't even allow him to draw certain illustrations he wanted. Theres even a mention about this in zakki. I don't want to portray Ishida as a victim here who didn't run his own manga into the ground since he himself admitted it, but one can only imagine how his editor fucked up during :re
Because it's bad and retroactively makes the main series worse.
People hate on it, but Re wasnt that bad. It was just far worse than the original tokyo ghoul and felt like it was both dragging and rushed at the same time, which is awful when reading weekly. Add to the fact that niggastream had the lowest fucking quality scans ever and you've got the nightmare that was the last 70 chapters of Re. Only Vancouverposting saved it
